  1. This guy Mengdon looks like a guy that shouldn’t be seen around a children’s playground because of a court order with that stashe. Seriously.
  2. I didn’t get to hear what Gubie’s “go to” was tonight. Was it something special like “Tonight’s the Night” or “Slow Ride” or something cool like that? moron
  3. Holy crap. This game is a glorified pillow fight. Reminds me of a Hustler OpEd piece. Jesus.
  4. Mike Trout coolers for sale. I’ll grab all AW fans one if I can
  5. They just made an announcement for June 27th for Mike Trout cooler night for the first 30,000 fans in attendance. What the hell are they going to do with 15,000 extra coolers? Watch Ebay everybody
  6. I hope there is a ton of PBJ’s in the dugout tonight for Pena. For Fu@k sake that was an absolute pathetic effort tonight. Seriously.
  7. Noe up in the pen right now. This game is done. What a disaster
  8. If I hear an announced crowd of 36,000 plus tonight I will personally walk up to the booth and kick the PA Announcer in the grapes. There cannot be more than 15,000 poor ass souls at this game tonight with my sorry ass.
  9. I'd have been pissed if this no hitter was broken up by a bunt. I still can't believe Weaver threw it
  10. It's actually a combination of two things...the rotor wash from the underside of the blades and the natural twisting that occurs on a hoist rescue. The cables, as they are being retracted into the pulley, naturally twist which leads to a spin. When that, coupled with the rotor wash, happens the result is what you see. Gotbeer is right. There should have been a rescuer with a belay line on the ground to prevent this. It looks like a flat ground rescue, so there shouldn't be any unnecessary risk. Looks like a crew that doesn't perform this rescue very often, or at least doesn't practice it very often.
  11. In my opinion, this team has overachieved just to get to 1 game under .500 (Now 3 but the point remains). We have/had 2 starters who's ERA is north of 7.00 and one who is now gone. One of the teams main bats and an important piece of the puzzle is on the IL and may be for the rest of the season, who knows. Kole Calhoun, for the first 2 months of the season couldn't hit his ass with both hands, nor could Cozart, and for the most part our aging 1st baseman/DH also. It was without Ohtani until last month, who is still finding his swing. With all that being said, this team found guys like Fletcher, LaStella, Goodwin, Buttrey, and some lucky breaks here and there to put them in position to be, at least, in the discussion for a 2nd Wild Card spot. I don't wear rose colored glasses, and I'm the same fan as all of you. I'm frustrated by the lack of consistency and some of the horrific FA signing's. What could have been if these guys produced at near 50% of their intended capability? BUT......they haven't, and yet there may be a chance. I'm not optimistic that Upton is going to be the savior that some think he might but he has the potential to be an upgrade offensively. I'm hoping some of the pitching that returns to the team performs to their past history, which will free up management to make some moves. These are all hypothetical scenario's but who knows? I'm still praying we get to .500
  12. He left 4 on base Chuckster. But it sure felt like a hell of a lot more
  13. And .500 gets a little further in the rear view mirror.....again
  14. Jesus Christ. this plate ump is really inconsistent. And by that I mean brutal
  15. I didn't want to say anything Lou, but that was one hell of a game by the Lady Bruins
  16. If Ausmus would have pulled Canning at 85 pitches and brought in Cody Allen at 2-0, the end result would not have changed at all. It would still be 4-0. Probably more.
  17. In his last couple starts, it was the bullpen who really failed Canning. Tonight, he was his own worst enemy for the exact reason you stated. Got behind in the count and had to throw strikes. He's got good stuff and I like him also, but tonight was not his night
  18. Khris Davis is 11-23 this year against the Angels for a .478 batting average. Along with 3 home runs. He sure loves himself some Angel pitching
  19. The Angels lead all of baseball into GIDP's. Just over 1.15 per game. No other MLB team has an average over 1.00.
  20. Keuchel turned down a 5 year/90 million dollar offer from the Astros before testing the free agent market. According to Bleacher Report, he has turned down several 1 and 2 year deals already, as he is seeking a long term deal My question would be.....what would the Angels have to offer him for him to come to Anaheim? Seeing as he has already spurned a couple 1 or 2 year deals, how would the Angels figure on getting him?
  21. Recent Angel killer Khris Davis is back in the line up, so we got that going for us.
  22. Wrigley is a nostalgic old stadium. A lot like Fenway Park. You should know what to expect when you go there. I've been to almost every stadium in MLB, and of all the "old" stadiums, Wrigley was the best. I actually liked walking around Wrigleyville and hitting the pubs in the area. For the record, Angel Stadium is an "old" stadium also. While it has it's charm, it's pretty old also when compared to Petco, PNC Park, Oracle Park in San Francisco and those stadiums are pretty fun. I would have suggested taking the train in to Wrigley and avoiding the traffic.
