Exit velocity 2020
Simba - 86.5, max 105.8 https://www.fangraphs.com/players/andrelton-simmons/10847/stats#statcast Simba also has the edge in Hard Hit%.
Didi - 84.3, max 104.7 https://www.fangraphs.com/players/didi-gregorius/6012/stats#statcast Didi's exit velocity is 4 MPH off where it was last year. You're making the mistake of ignoring how his home park has inflated his numbers.
Home: .314/.364/.551 - .915
Away: .247/.317/.397 - .714With Didi, the exit velocity hints at a decline in skill, something the home park might be helping to mask
I was being sarcastic since exit velocity is new thing. Nobody ever gave two shits about it when Hank Aaron was hitting home runs. It has to be one of the stupidest stats in the game. Tony Gwynn and Rod Carew probably didn’t have great exit velocity but they were great hitters. I do like Didi for his left handed power though.

Feels like Trout has no interest in padding his stats any further.
He’s no Albert.

Remember when Hamilton didn’t show up to spring training and was staying in Houston with his buddy. The Angels said he was fine and that he would be doing the same workouts rehabbing his shoulder in Houston as he would in Arizona. Nothing to worry about. Yep, I love the facts too.

Well technically we aren't officially eliminated yet.
In a season where you just basically needed to win half of your games to be in the mix and we couldn’t even do that.

I'd prefer they don't sign a 31-year-old free agent to play SS.
If they do, I'd prefer they sign Simba.
Simba has a terrible exit velocity which is the most important stat trending right now. His launch angle wasn’t very good either.

Yeah, that Maddon quote was rather interesting.
He's not being re-signed, IMO. I'm okay with Fletcher at SS and Rengifo/Barreto/Jones/Thaiss (!?) battling it out for 2B.
Rendon 3B, Gregorious SS, Fletcher 2B, Walsh 1B.
Great infield with solid defense and a lot of power. -

I guess I don’t understand that thinking. At what point would you be ticked off that someone quit on his team? Or their fans? We get mad all day long that this or that person sucks. But at least they’re still trying. They’re not good anymore but they’re going out there every day trying to be good. Quitting to me is inexcusable. It’s 5 games left. I understand it in the fact the offseason will be here shortly, but I don’t in the fact at the end of the day these are your teammates you don’t just walk out on them. Not a great look.
Yep, a quick trip to SD and basically back home playing in LA you make that trip with your teammates. It’s not like they were asking him to fly to another state. It’s basically a 95 mile road trip. He’s making a statement.

If you quit on Arte, chances are you’re not coming back.

He quit like Dipoto. Bring on Didi Gregorious if he’s available. He’s fine defensively and he would add a nice quality left handed bat with some power.

Ohtani is MUCH more of a star than Rendon as far as marketability.
He’s kinda back to being a prospect again.

They should’ve hired one right after they fired Reagins.

I don’t think I’ve seen worse fundamentals in a major leaguer before. He looks worse than Jabari Blash in the box.
I think the Angels F’d him up. He never did that in Japan.

Trumps policy’s will certainly put more people on the streets. His billionaire buddies are the only ones who are benefiting from his corporate welfare.

I loathe Teheran. He was always a horrible signing, but I never thought he’d be this bad. He’s the reason we won’t taste the playoffs this season.
Upton and Ohtani really cost us some early games. It was forecasted to be a sprint and these two didn’t get out of bed in time.

It’s bad. I have no idea how he even makes contact. Imagine if he had actual fundamentals.
He needs a new swing coach. If he could just learn to turn his hips instead of flailing his arms he would be unstoppable.

I think Didi would be a good fit in Anaheim. That’s all I’m saying. But if people are content with Fletcher and Rengifo then it is what it is. I’d prefer Didi SS and Fletcher 2B.
