I fully expect to see this season a banner on the outfield fence, an advertisement  for "Planters Peanuts".

I for one am glad that forum is gone. The name of the forum always reminded me of the "Batboy".

About time. Watching pitchers hit is brutal. Also saves injuries from having to play offense.

Ticket sales might be ok for 2016, but if the team has a 72-90 season 2017 will probably see a mass exodus.

The team needs to think long term in addition to the present. They need to be getting younger. Kendrick and freeze would not be wise decisions long term age wise and $ wise.

I know, but with the amount of pitches Hector throws it seems like he walks more than he really does. I can visualize Hector starting a game and throwing 80 pitches thru 3 innings, then being pulled for Alb, who then throws 35 pitches in an inning. The of'ers would need to bring lawn chairs with them to the OF.

He has averaged 5 walks per 9 innings in his career.  Sounds like a right handed Hector Santiago. Guys like them can put fielders asleep quickly. The team should load up on "No Doze".

This clown is garbage. I sure hope that contract isn't guaranteed, because i think he is released before the All Star break, that is if he makes the team out of spring training.

Its a tough call. Blackmon isn't as good as his Colorado numbers suggest, but he's better than some are saying. He had a 2 and 2.1 WAR he last couple years, which makes him the definition of average. No reason to think that would change. So yeah, he'd be better than what the Angels currently have and had last year, but I'm not sure he's worth trading Tropeano for. Shoemaker, OK.

greginpsca got a reaction from Angel Oracle in What are your true thoughts on Angel Stadium?
The last renovation was cosmetic. I feel the cosmetics, the fan experience, ingress/egress are great. My concern is the same as the orgs. Plumbing, electrical, falling concrete, etc, have to be dealt with. it is an aging stadium and reno costs to upgrade the stadiums infrastructure might be nearly as much as building a new stadium. And with the City of Anaheim appearing to not want to spend money on either upgrades or a reno i don't know if the team should do a "Full Press" on finding another city for a new stadium. Especially when you hear rumors that the city would like to use the land for Disney expansion, or just letting developers build more cheap condo's there.

When Devon was with the Angels, the pitch to get him out was a fastball right at his hands. He had trouble pulling his hands in, which usually resulted in a popup. Or he would drop his hands and swing and miss under the ball. Once he left the Halo's he seemed to improve on that weakness.
