I have said the same thing. One inning guys will be toast by the second half of the season when starters are averaging 4-5 innings. Another benefit is that if an injury happen to a starter, one of those guys will be stretched out to slide into the rotation. Then you can bring up another long guy and not have him thrown into the fire right away as a starter.

Agree. Last season the pen had 29 blown saves. Cutting that by 40-50 % would be a game changer.

Just a guess, but I think Rod Carew and Pete Rose probably had lower than average exit velocity . Those guys fared pretty good.

I totally agree. But, this is the Angels. They will probably sign one or two free agents before spring training and give up one or two draft picks. Arte just doesn't give a flying fxxk about drafting and developing players. It's all about the big name free agents.

If he really is healthy, showcase him in spring training and trade him the last week.

I have been retired now for 8 1/2 years. I love that i am getting paid to stay home everyday. If you don't have the home paid off, don't retire yet. We had everything paid off. Now it is just utilities,food,insurance bills and taxes. Being that we have been in our house almost 42 years, we pay taxes based on a $125k home. To me, that is the biggest positive. Have had friends who spent a lot on big vacations, house remodels, etc who refinanced their homes several times. Refinancing retriggers rates, and now they pay taxes based on the new value of the home. At retirement time, they were pretty much forced to sell and move out of state because they couldn't afford to pay property taxes based on a market value around a million dollars. So a little advise to younger homeowners, NEVER REFINANCE.
