  1. I don't want any pitcher who gives up home runs to JB Schuck. Schuck hits one only to be taken away on a bad call. Then next game against garza, he hits another. No wonder Texas doesn't want him. Nuff said.
  2. Better off seeing him there than on the 5 in the slow lane heading toward the OC.
  3. The writer must be a Yankee fan. The ol' diversion ploy. Make the fans and front office feel that the guy is a bust, so his team can swoop in and sign him.
  4. The decline of our farm system is the reason all the old scouting department personnel are gone. It is similar to when Stoneman took over. It will take about 5 years to hopefully replenish the system. The beginning of the decline, as i see it, was Reagins firing Eddie Bane. Then the Clay Daniels debacle. Every season since the system has seen less talent and depth.
  5. Nolan Ryan had that problem getting thru the 1st inning. Was not uncommon to see him walk 2-3 batters in the 1st. If he gave up a run or 2, he would usually lose 1-0 or 2-1. If he got thru the 1st without giving up any runs, it usually meant a win.
  6. I thought it was a prerequisite to be gay to even participate in that sport.
  7. Jim Fregosi . If i was bigger and a lefty, it would have been Ted Kluzsuwski. [sp]
  8. Trout will make an appearance @ Angelswin spring training extravaganza dinner.
  9. Denny Hocking will be the manager for 14. Matt Wise will be the pitching coach.
  10. I can see them trading someone like Jepson at the end of spring training to get under tax.
  11. I hope some of the comments in the link that Chuck provided aren't true. Tipping his pitches by increasing arm speed on different pitches.
  12. The night Vlad signed, the board seemed like it did that much in a couple hours.
  13. This is reminding me of Jose Canseco and Glenallen Hill. That went great. Oh wait!
  14. Seems like Buck has played for a different team every year. That ought to tell you something .
  15. Supposedly, the marlins want a 3rd baseman back in any deal for Morrison. Lucho might be to their liking. I am not too keen on getting rid of Maronde.
  16. The Sox are unhappy with Beckham @2b. If they only wanted prospects back, they wouldn't have resigned Konerko. Sappinton would give them a pitcher for the near future.
  17. How about Howie, Jepson, and Sappington and a lower level minor leaguer to the White sox for Sale and a minor leaguer?
  18. This is the reasoning why i like Lindsey so much. Power hitters get to AA and their #'s go down. Lindsey's power #'s went up, considerably.
  19. I see what you did. By adding Sosh into this you were able to turn it into another fat joke.
  20. Kendrick is the most logical to move. If you can trade him for a starting pitcher, he would free up more money to sign a second arm.
  21. Right now, i just hope the Angels entourage is already at the winter meetings, ready to go.
  22. If Pujols and Hamilton have years somewhat close to career averages, then Trout can bat leadoff again, where he is more valuable. Calhoun, i believe, will be a good # 2 hitter. Seems like we haven't had a good 2 hitter in years. With Trumbo, Freese, Conger and Aybar following Hamilton will give us a pretty solid lineup. I really believe Howie will be traded for a pitcher, but i have a gut feeling Green won't be playing 2b. I have a feeling Lindsey will end up at 2b.
  23. I think green will be playing more 3b than 2b. If Freese goes on the dl, then Green plays. I have a gut feeling that Lindsey will skip AAA and play 2b.
  24. I just remember a couple seasons ago everyone was clamoring for that "One Big Bat" in the lineup. Trumbo has become that run producer hitting over 30 bombs and driving in over 100. If he is traded for a mediocre arm, everyone here will be pissed when his replacement hit 9 hr's and drives in 48. We will also miss his versatility of playing first, lf,rf,dh. Yes, his OBP isn't that good. But how many guys out there with an acceptable OBP can you find available to put up his power numbers, with his salary? Pujols and Hamilton probably will never put up those numbers again. If anything goes up for them, it will be the number of GIDP's and K's. The player they should be trading for a pitcher should be Kendrick. His spot will be easier to fill @ 2nd. Plus his run production should also be easier to replace. That said, Dipoto will probably still trade Trumbo. And everyone will be saying he screwed the pooch again, only, this time the pooch is pressing charges.
