Sandy just needs to slow everything down at times. He's rushing and his front elbow seems to be flying out. Hence all the missed locations and pitches being up. I think he'll be fine, he'll have a few bad starts but the stuff looked really good! Just needs to slow it down, fix a few mechanical errors and see how he does next start. But the command and emotion will be huge! Also might just be me, but it looked like his fastball had cut action on it today. A few things other things, I am fine with Rendon at the lead-off spot, but the hope is by mid-season, trout is moved up to the 2-hole, and if the power develops nicely I'd consider moving Schanuel to the 3-hole or if it doesn't maybe Rengifo at the 3rd/ Second, I am glad that Sano made the roster, But I would prefer the younger guys (Moniak, Rengifo, and Adell) get more playing time over him. Third, this is more of a personal favortie, But i think Stefanic is going to be important with his ability to hit for contact, draw walks and not a strike-out machine. But, Just one game nothing to worry about at the moment.

Soriano's TJ history scares me, but he's always had shown the stuff to be a top of the rotation arm, with a plus plus sinker, a wipe-out slider. command/control, health and the development of a 3rd pitch was the big question. It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing with him

Silseth, 27G, 150 innings, 3.89 ERA, 10-10, 2 War #5. Anderson, 15 G, 3-7, 67 innings, 4.31 ERA--> gets trades by the deadline for a salary dump, Davis Daniels replaces him and goes 8G, 42 innings, 4.23 ERA Mederos will get about 10 starts, 3-5, 40 innings, 4.48 ERA

Honesty thats a pretty solid line-up. 1-9 solid!

with the cole injury, the astrix news.......all signs point to boras trying to get Snell an increased paycheck. it basically went from Angels/Giants early on, to just the angels and now there are 4 other teams involved.

I have to disagree. it's a short term deal. 3 years is good deal considering Snell's age and injury history. there's enough money left where you can offer Snell that 35 mil year one, and work out the other 2 years without have issues with money. if he decides to opt-out it works for us aswell with the crop of free agents next year. If he gets hurt or underperforms.... well we out of that contract in 3 years instead of 5 or 6 years.

at this point just offer Snell 35 mil, 25mil, and 20 mil, with opt-out each year. Take it or leave it.

Interesting, Arte might finally be changing his approach and it also sounds like analytics are going to be still in play.

I think either Canning or Anderson get the opening day start. personally would love to see Canning, Detmers, Sandy, Silseth and Anderson. I think we should juat let Adell DH and see how he does. have Moniak/hicks alternate.

would not be surprised if hick's is the starting DH, with moniak and Adell switching time in the outfield. Honesty all three haven't been bad this spring, hopefully it carries over into the season.

If everyone can stay healthy, Our line-up as the potential to be a top 10 line-up in all of baseball.

Man, Mederos has looked like a completely different pitcher from what we saw last year. He has looked more calm and collective while harnessing his command/control of his stuff. There is some really solid #2/3 upside in him with his power stuff. He really does remind me alot of G-rich before the TJ. 2 plus pitches, with an good curve. Koch, in the limited spring training, looks like he can have a solid career with just his sinker alone. He gets that pitch deep inside and hitters are struggling. Dana, Dudes getting eyes on him, and I would not be surprised if he finds himself on a few top 100 list either by end of spring or early in the season. Dominating stuff!

Honesty, I think if he can harness is command and control he still has the upside of a solid #3. His Split is plus, and his slider at times flashes plus at-times. I still think that SHoemaker is a solid comp for him.
