  1. That's basically what I had offered. if we take on about 70 mil of Cronenworth contract it increase the return. Mazur- potential to be 3 with a plus slider.
  2. I feel like there is more upside in Cronenworth than Drury. Putting croneworth helps the defense, and I Think he much better overall hitter than Drury, while still having 15 to 20 hr. plus the entire purpose is that you also get prospects back that would be beneficial.
  3. I've been trying to come up with a handful of moves that could help us this season and the upcoming free agency. After going back and forth between the moves, I've finally come up with some that could help. Top of my List; 1. Snell, I think he is the best arm available with the ability to be a solid 2! Which this team needs. I think a similar contract to what Rodon got is what Snell will get, 162 mil over 6 years, which I think is a good price for him and gives us that top of the rotation arm we need. If I'm Arte/Perry I would try to back load the contract once's Rendon contract is off the books. - 20,25,30,30,27. 2. There have been a lot of rumors that the Padres may be trying to cut salary by trading one of Cronenworth or Kim, and looking at the rumors, the Pads might prefer to somehow trade Cronenworth in hopes of extending Kim. I would love to grab Cronenworth and see if the Padres would be willing to add a prospect or two to sweeten the return. The downside is that we would be adding 80 million in salary. But before last year, Cronenworth had been a four-war player, and if he returns to this form, that contract could be a bargain and a benefit. One such trade that could be in work is; - Padres get; Drury - Angels get; Cronenworth, Mazur, Lizarraga and 10 mil 3. Next I would look at adding a short term option to include into the rotation and people might not like it, but I would add Clevenger 20 mil over 2 years, with a club option for the next year. 4. With about 37 mil spent, I would now turn my attention on addressing the BP. - Bring back Moore of a 2 years 12 mil contract with a second year option - Try to sign David robertson 10 mil over 1 year - Try to sign Hicks over 48 mil over 4 years
  4. All this just for them to watch an team that won 89/90 games be in the world series.
  5. Cronenworth is an interesting option to consider and that contract is quite friendly for what he's able to do. The question is, if the Pads are really trying to cut salary and and if we'll willing to eat the contract, what would the return be? how many prospects would they include? Would the Pads do a Cronenworth + Thrope + 10 mil for Drury?
  6. Also good for the royals! there in a week division. I think the Wacha contract gives us a baseline for Stroman.
  7. Wow, the dodgers truly are going with a high risk/reward approach with their rotations. Currently there at 161 mil, wonder if they go after Yamamoto or bring back Kershaw
  8. Pretty solid top 10 list and I agreed with a lot of the write ups for the top 10. Basic rundown; 1. For both Nolan and Rada's power will determine is they take that next step or not! For Nolan, could potentially be 20 power guy, but currently viewed as a 10-15 hr. Rada is viewed as the typical lead of hitter. 2. Dana, Big fastball and a plus slider, 4 pitch mix with a fastball in the mid 90s. His fading-change could potentially develop into his best out pitch. Four pitch pitcher, with the ability to develop 3 above-average or better pitches. Personally I think your'll looking at #2/3. 3. Kent same as Dana, has four solid pitches that could potentially be above0average. Just need to stay healthy and develop. Currently I think a #3 upside is a good start for him just needs to stay healthy and develop. 4. Koch, FB with really good sink made a arm angle changed last season and velo increased. , He has the chances to be a groundball machine that could potentially be #3, if command and his secondary stuff improve. Currently viewed as back-of- the rotation type of arm. Throws a lot of strike, and at times to many. Overall needs improve the in strike-zone command 5. Bachman and Medrosis-> Potentially Bp arm but will have a shot at starting.
  9. I think Rendon plays 70s games at DH and 60 at 3rd, a total of 130 games with his occasional days off and type off. Overall his numbers: 280/360/ 15 hrs and 80 RBI Trout: 50 games at DH, and 100 games in CF + 150 games 286/378/ 33 hrs and 101 RBI
  10. I didn't have any issues with Othani signing with the Dodgers. But this is an dick move. Imagine if he had offered to something similar could have changed the outlook of the season.
  11. I feel like they may need to adjust salaries to work it out. For examples, lets that they sign the following players: 1. Snell 20,25,30,35,35,30 =180 mil over 6 years 2. Stroman: 13, 16,16,20 = 65 mil/ 4 years 3. Moore 12 mil over 6 years=> 6 mil per year 4. Davidson 10 mil over 1 year
  12. Hopefully when Arte over reaction instead of spending on a postion player, Arte go crazy and dishes out the cash for pitch.............. or he signs Bellinger.................and we're fucked
  13. 70 mil to spend. 1. 25-30 mil on a a #1/2 2. 15-20 mil on a number 3. 3. Try to get rid of Anderson contract 4. Spend the rest of the money on other needs. Rotation: 1. Snell/Yamatoma 2. Sandy 3. Stroman/Montgomery 4.Detmers 5. Silseth lineup ( I'm gone go crazy!) 1. Rendon Dh/3rd 2. Trout ( Cf/Dh) 3. Drury (2nd/1st) 4. Ward (lf) 5. Nolan (1st) 6. O'hoppe (c) 7. Rengifo (3rd/utl) 8. Moniak /Adell/ free agent(RF) 9. Neto
  14. Honestly I would try to get rid of Anderson's contract as well at least try to clear up about 8 mil of it.
  15. Now that this Othani situation has resolved, time for Arte and Perry to move on and build this team up! From the looks of it, it looks we'll have around 60-70 mil to spend. Easily enought to get an Ace and a middle of the rotation arm to slot. Offer Yamamoto a 7 years over 175mil to 210 mil or Snell at around 150 Mil/ 6 years Than either Stroman on a 64-70 mil over 4 years Grab another BP arm Maybe sign Martinez to a 16 mil per 1 year contract and go to into this season with plans to win and kick the dodgers asses!
  16. Honestly it sucks to see him leaving, but its probably the bbest out come for both ssides Opens up the DH spot for us and free ups money to spend on pitching. For Othani he gets 700 mil. lol Not Arte and Perry need to focus on getting pitching.
  17. Honesty a solid move, opens a roster spot and frees up 7 mil. Sucks to see flec go, but unless he reworks his swing, he's not going to hit much. off note, I'd love Perry to get out of Anderson's contract next
  18. Sounds like Othani is just messing around at this point. Clearly no once knows what's happening. It's like in his first spring where he was garbage at both pitching and hitting....only to have everyone looking stupid.
  19. Forget about Othani leaving, I am more concerned about Ippei leaving!
  20. Here's the thing, If the angels want to compete they have to spend! They need one front of the line arm, at minimal 1 middle of the rotation arm with or without Othani. Also you have to wonder how much money Othani has made for Arti.
  21. We really need detmers and and Silseth to take that next step in the rotation.I think Silseth has that middle of the rotation upside, while Detmer could be a good #2. The stuff is there for these guys.
  22. Well than it's not going to be a pretty off-season. Personally I have: Snell 150mil over 6 years= 25 mil Stroman 72 mil over 4 years= 18 mil Moore= 8 Mil Lopez: 33mil over 3 years
  23. The focus for this offseason is pitching, we needs at the vary minimal get a a solid #2 and a #3 for the upcoming season. Ideally if we can some how get two #2 that would be a winning offseason. If I were to outline our needs, if would be as followed; 1. Starting pitching 2. Bullpen 3. DH/OF Top choice would be: Tier 1, Solid #2 I can see us getting Snell, Stroman, re-signing Moore and Lopez, and lastly either Pham and Martinez.
