    Simers goes into the locker rooms and consistently interviews his subjects, even when ridiculing them. He provides analysis, even when local fans might dislike it. Because he is always around his subjects, we find out stuff we might normally find out. Ever hear anything interesting out of a Scioscia postgame presser? Ever? Simers gets interesting sh*t out of even Sosh.

    Not a big Arte fan. He's acquired players like he was one of these angelswin board members whose favorite season is hot stove. Disney won a World Series championship. They established the uniforms which has stood the test of time - 12 years - an eternity in Angels history. They remodeled the stadium. For the reasons above, Disney is the gold standard for Angels ownership.

    Weaver was way less than dominating when he went down. Pujols is of questionable age and medical history. Any injury from him can't be a surprise. We signed Madson hurt/recovering. Aybar, Callaspo and Bourjos injuries have hurt the team, but every team gets them.

    That is some serious cash. Insurance companies don't go into insuring $250 contract in the hopes of losing money. If that thing is insured, what do you think the cost of insuring was? $75 mil?

    I haven't seen anything that that contract is insured. Not picking an argument, just wondering - do you know that contract is insured?

    If he wanted a legacy, he would have stayed in St. Louis, where he was a hero and won multiple WS. Instead he threw away his legacy, moved his family (or separated himself from his family) all to chase the few extra sheckels that Arte offered. Dudes like that do not give up millions on the table.

    When the Angels are this bad, and you have overpaid stiffs, its worse than just having a bad team with young, bad players (like the Astros) There's almost a stench to it.

    MT, I really don't feel like playing the always-horrible Lifetime game, but that doesn't sound like posters are pissed about Sosh saying something negative. It sounds like they are giving their reasons why Sosh gave that quote.
