I have tickets to see the Bees Friday night and I almost didn't buy them because I enjoy watching Canning pitch and didn't want to miss his start.

Please don't K looking for the third time in a row.

I must admit: I did not see that coming

Taking strike three two pitches in a row. Not great.

Why would it be a mistake when we need a guy like Syndergaard anyway? Unless you think the cost of a guy like him would be less in the off season.
Is it even possible to acquire him without giving up Adell?

How bout we go “all in” for Syndergaard and Vargas. By all in I mean most everyone not named Adell.
Would that give the Angels a chance of passing Oakland and catching Houston for the division title? The thought of going "all in" just to play in a Wild Card game makes me nauseous.
If people want the Angels to be buyers because they want to see meaningful/exciting baseball being played in August and September, I respect that. But it's been four years of no postseason, I can handle a fifth year because I am genuinely excited to see what the Angels will be next season. I prefer they build for next year than make a move this year.

Could just be gas, but I've got a bad feeling about this one.
I bet it was gas. What did you have for dinner?

Upton looking like Vernon Wells. More so than usual, I mean.

That guy buys alcohol for 17 year olds outside 7-11 in exchange for weed.
Maybe in New Hampshire. That is NOT what they looked like in SoCal 20 years ago, and it was always lottery tickets, not weed.

Albert is hitting over .400 in the second half

Someone asked the other night if Trout was going to go 2-21 coming back from his injury. He's 1-10 so far.

Don't worry, this team has a few more 3 game hotstreaks in them.
If one of them includes the Dodgers games Tuesday and Wednesday, I'd be just fine with that arrangement

Well, I hadn't heard about Heaney going IL with shoulder fatigue. Fatigue? He seldom finishes the fifth.
True, but it often takes him close to 100 pitches to get there

The hitting has totally stopped. Combined with questionable pitching = not a good combo.
It's Mike Leake and Wade LeBlanc. The '27 Yankees would be lucky to touch these guys.

Shohei just lost some points off his .184 batting average against Seattle this season.
Upton just lost some points off his .190 batting average with RISP.

It won't be dirt cheap, either, though. He's making $3.4M this year and even with a crappy partial season this year, he'll likely get a sizable boost through arbitration next year.
I know how arbitration works in theory but don't know how the numbers work in a situation like this. If that's accurate... yikes. That changes things.

He was safe but anyone who has paid attention to replay knew there was no way they would overturn that.
