  1. Alden Gonzalez ‏@Alden_Gonzalez 1m Michael Roth not being traded, perhaps not even promoted. #Angels were just saving him in case there was a doubleheader tomorrow.
  2. Alden Gonzalez @Alden_Gonzalez · 10m Interesting ... RT @ElsonPhil: Michael Roth has been scratched from today's start at Midland. He's healthy. Just not pitching.
  3. Alden Gonzalez @Alden_Gonzalez · 4m Morin, by the way, is from the KC area and says he's got like 100 friends & family here this weekend. Was hopeful they'd behave.
  4. Jeff Fletcher @JeffFletcherOCR · 6m Bruce Chen will be pitching for the Royals. #Angels Jeff Fletcher @JeffFletcherOCR · 7m #Angels Mike Morin will be coming out to pitch when the game resumes. It's 2-0 Angels, top of the 5th.
  5. Jeff Fletcher @JeffFletcherOCR · 22s Aiming for a 6:30-6:45 CT resumption for the #Angels-Royals. Tarp coming off.
  6. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/kauffman-stadium-mo/64129/weather-radar/43033_poi Hector is this year's hard time loser. Who does Sosh bring in to start the 5th? i.e. who will promptly give up the lead? My money is on Kohn.
  7. Good job Freese, I haven't given up on you
  8. Another tough game tomorrow, I'll be happy with one win this series
  9. Another good outing tonight for Drew: IP 7.0 H 7 R 1 ER 1 BB 0 SO 6 HR 0 ERA 2.31 http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2014_06_27_arkaax_friaax_1&t=g_box&sid=milb
  10. I've noticed Grant Balfour hasn't been mentioned as a possible trade target. Started slow but seems to be coming around lately. Overpaid, shouldn't cost us much/anything in terms of prospects. Two year contract: $4M (2014) & $7M (2015). He was a beast for Oakland last year.
  11. I really don't know if I could stomach Downs again. He's old and was going downhill fast when we traded him for Rasmus. Minor league deals sounds good, but he's another pitcher who would allow many inherited runners to score.
  12. http://tinyurl.com/mwcr7ug Angels confident they'll sign first-round pick ANAHEIM -- The Angels have yet to reach an agreement with their first-round Draft pick, left-handed starter Sean Newcomb, but are confident they'll get it done before the July 18 deadline to sign amateur players. "We're not close to anything," Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto said. "We're continuing to talk. There's been normal rhetoric and we're confident that Sean wants to be an Angel and that we'll get this done." Newcomb, 21, was plucked out of the University of Connecticut by the Angels with the 15th overall selection, representing the organization's first first-round pick in three years. Newcomb is listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, with an electric fastball that sits in the mid-90s, an above-average curveball and a developing slider and changeup that could make him an effective four-pitch starter in the Majors someday. He went 8-2 with a 1.25 ERA in 14 starts for the Hartford Hawks during his junior season, striking out 106 batters and walking 38 in 93 1/3 innings, and has been compared to Red Sox ace Jon Lester. Major League Baseball has recommended a $2,475,600 signing bonus for the 15th overall pick. "He's a college kid, but he's just starting to find out who he is," Angels scouting director Ric Wilson said recently. "We'll monitor him moving forward, and at his pace, there's no telling what he can do."

  14. The Pads want hitting not pitching. I doubt they ask for Bedrock. Cron, Green, our top hitting prospects are what they want.
  15. Bring in Joe Smith for the Save
