    The appraisal process needs to be transparent not confidential to alleviate the appearance of a below market sweetheart deal. Should be open to public review and then shovels in the ground. Perhaps appoint an above reproach Ex Mayor Mike Bloomberg who has overseen many of these deals to mediate.

    I have been following this story from NY and I don't understand the drama here. This deal is a win win for Angels and Anaheim tax revenue and development. Just cut a deal for tax credits 80 - 20 tax abatement to provide low and moderate income housing and infrastructure and transportation improvements. Cut a deal and everyone wins. Makes too much sense.

    I am impressed alot now with Josh Bell 1B / OF 29 yo currently with Nationals and should be available. Former Power Bat 37 HR 116 RBI Season in 2019 who has adjusted his Game to be more of a contact hitter currently batting .342. Keep a lookout replaces Justin Upton Switch hitter better as LH.

    You may be surprised to learn that Ryan never claimed a Cy Young Award. The closest Ryan got was 1973, the year he went 21-16 with a 2.87 ERA and 383 strikeouts -- a single-season record in the modern era. In a close race, Ryan came in second behind Jim Palmer (22-9, 2.40 ERA, 158 K's), whose Orioles went 97-65 while Ryan's Angels went 79-83. Ryan finished his career with 5,714 strikeouts, which ranks first all time.

    Barf, Amazing how clear my memory is on this. I still remember hanging out at a pharmacy further down the road from Disneyland under the 5 Highway Stadium on right side then down a ways where it becomes more commercial. Pharmacy is on left we developed film ( old times LOL ) and purchased refreshments. I can't wait to visit again.

    Barf, It was memorable. I was a youngster 11 yo vacationing in California with my Family who took us to Disneyland ( Before the Florida one opened ) and Knotts Berry & the Yankees were in Town. It was an on the fly kind of decision to celebrate my Brother's Birthday so the Game started on the 11th but probably ended on the 12th ET. Game wasn't really memorable except for the Great Players on the rosters.
