  1. They want Montreal but they couldn't support the MLB team last time they tried it.
  2. The talent is already watered down with too many Owners pocketing the TV Revenue and Luxury Tax and shared revenues without producing competitive teams. This is just another money grab to collect the buy in $ from awarding 2 new Franchises.
  3. Ok I like Joc so take them both as they are both winners.
  4. I follow his Mom's Twitter while Stroman has blocked me and most of the World. He has issues obviously while Seth is an upstanding young man with a supportive Mom in his corner.
  5. 33 HRs 103 RBIs $ 10 MM one year deal is solid move for DH
  6. Lazorko Saves, Funny we both posted regarding Ilya Kovalchuk. Exactly the NHL prohibited his original contract which was reworked to $ 100 MM over 15 years. I met with him right afterwards and shook his hand and congratulated him and told him great contract.
  7. Best of Luck Ohtani with the Dodgers and Thanks for the Memories! As I said when I met the Hockey great Ilya Kovalchuk immediately after he signed his $ 100 MM Contract back then and shook his hand Congratulations Great Contract!
  8. LOL Fun Times! At least he wasn't driving around LA in a Ford Bronco with a police escort and Morosi, Nightengale et al following him.
  9. I remember it very well in 2011 at the end of the Winter Meetings which was a very lucky day for me as well.
  10. Today December 8th will be the day he announces six years to the day he joined the Angels. He is a superstitious guy as 8 is a lucky # in Asian Culture akin to # 7 here.
  11. Dark horse might be Toronto Blue Jays which I could see if they offered $ 600 MM.
  12. Ohtani has explored his options and has narrowed his preferences. If $ are comparable I believe he will sign to remain with the Angels where he is comfortable and vice versa. He will be loyal to the organization he has flourished with and finish the task of winning a Championship. 2nd choice I believe are the Dodgers but Angels fans are better so why move up there. Shrewd move is to rehab with Angels reestablish the Pitching dominance and write in the deal an opt out after 2025 to reassess his options. That's what I would do if it were my situation.
  13. Ohtani sells merchandise and media so besides his Babe Ruth talents the investment yields profits.
  14. He is well worth the three year commitment he is seeking. How can he disappoint with a supportive Mom in his corner?
  15. Seth Lugo is the pitcher to sign IMO. Successful as a SP, middle reliever and closer. What's not to like? I will post his Mom's Twitter which documents his successes. You decide.
  16. Silver lining to cap off a bad Season. Impressive stop on a dime number crunching.
  17. Contact hitter with speed great eye at plate more walks than SOs solid versatile defender what's not to love?
  18. https://www.justbaseball.com/mlb/jung-hoo-lee-is-the-best-free-agent-flying-under-the-radar/ .340 BA .407 OBP 69 SB 383 BBs 304 SOs 4000 PA. Plays all OF positions. 25 yo Sign him!
  19. Seth Lugo is who can do it all excelled as SP, middle relief and closer. Take it from his Mom who documents his successes.
  20. The Mets left the 2 Angels acquired at the trading deadline unprotected Coleman Crow who had TJ surgery so he can be moved to the 60 day DL and Jeremiah Jackson who has tools and can be utility role. Also I would consider Mets RHP SP Joander Suarez also left unprotected. RHP Joander Suarez – The 23-year-old had an incredible run to finish out his season with 24 scoreless innings between High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton, including a 7-inning no-hitter that followed a 6-inning no-hit start.
  21. I like Seth Lugo who has excelled as a SP, middle reliever & closer. He does it all.
  22. What about Seth Lugo who I am very familiar with and who excels at every pitching role SP, Middle Relief or Closer?
