    This is where you lose the argument. If Albert Pujols was a homegrown star I could somewhat understand it. But his great seasons were all in St. Louis. So why should it matter to the Angels that he was great? This is a team that has made the playoffs 1 time in the last 7 years and currently would miss the playoffs again if the season ended today. It's time to focus on wins/losses and not the accomplishments of a guy with a different team

    The command of all his pitches is very impressive for a 21 year old. He doesn't have the highest upside but I don't think he'll be worse than a good #4 starter. If everything breaks right he could be a low end 2 starter

    I wouldn't say he rakes. He's about a league average MLB 1B. Which is fine. If this team had league average players at every position except CF and SS they'd be coasting to a playoff spot right now. If Cron can raise his OPS to the .820-.850 range while playing the defense he's played this year, then he'd become very valuable to this team

    Look at Matt Joyce as an Angel vs the rest of his career (before and after). That's a little fishy for sure. But some of the other guys is just basic decline or bad signings.
