  1. Essentially if the call is reversed, the play would be resumed from the point it came at - so the game would restart with the game tied 2-2, and the Jays batting in the bottom of the 7th (since Choo would be the third out of the 7th). You'd basically have to have the ruling made _today_, you'd think. But that said... 4.19 PROTESTING GAMES. Each league shall adopt rules governing procedure for protesting a game, when a manager claims that an umpires decision is in violation of these rules. No protest shall ever be permitted on judgment decisions by the umpire. In all protested games, the decision of the League President shall be final. Even if it is held that the protested decision violated the rules, no replay of the game will be ordered unless in the opinion of the League President the violation adversely affected the protesting teams chances of winning the game. Rule 4.19 Comment: Whenever a manager protests a game because of alleged misapplication of the rules the protest will not be recognized unless the umpires are notified at the time the play under protest occurs and before the next pitch, play or attempted play. A protest arising on a game-ending play may be filed until 12 noon the following day with the league office. Basically the protest is DOA because it's a judgment call by the ump as to whether or not interference occurred anyway.
  2. Now under video review... review of what exactly, I wonder. But whichever team this eventually goes against _has_ to play the remainder of the game under protest. (Assuming the Jays fans don't trigger a forfeit at this point) I _think_ however that the ball is live while the catcher has possession and is returning it to the pitcher. Hitting the bat, that's the catcher's fault there, unless the batter is obviously trying to obstruct. Which means the call should go in Texas' favor.
  3. I love how you can clearly hear the profanity being chanted by the crowd.
  4. Which is almost equal to their coverage of the rangers and the bad news bears. Coverage of Hamilton's DL stints or rehab stints or slumps doesn't count as coverage of the Angels, despite ESPN's filters on the matter.
  5. If it's the stadium configuration (or environment) itself, it should also affect visiting players just as much.
  6. Well, light up that jacuzzi. Gonna have to wash away the DBacks fail yet again.
  7. The Astros uniforms for this game makes it look like Los Afterthoughts, doesn't it? (of course, it makes me wonder what ours is? Do we just wear "Los Angeles" road uniforms and laugh?)
  8. IBB in first inning. Can't blame em, but it grinds my gears just the same.
  9. Cleanup hitter bunts in the first inning. Why is this team ahead of us again?
  10. C'mon Los D-bags, play for a little pride after that beating yesterday.
  11. And now here comes the politics!
  12. Trout has been traded for a player to be named later - himself! Seems legit!
  13. I am still in total shock that we didn't get buttercupped.
  14. Never know. The D-Backs could score 19 in the 9th! (The record for any inning though is 18... and that was in 1883. So... yeah.) ...
  15. Adding on: Kaleb Cowart has gone from total bust to potential big league option. Johnny G has apparently recovered from his eye issues Joyce... will not be our starting left fielder next year? Tough to really find a positive there...
