It’s been really disappointing to see Adams, Paris, Mederos, Joyce, and Kochanowicz REALLY struggle.
They aren’t just struggling, they are doing really bad.
Mederos has never produced good results, even in college. I know he was a 6th-round pick and supposedly has good stuff, but at some point, the dude actually has to, ya know, pitch well...

1960 Dodgers vs Pirates at the Coliseum. Pirates win 4-2. Dodgers scored both runs on a Wally Moon moonshot over the lf screen. Pirates had 2 2-run hr's by Bob Skinner & Bill Mazeroski.
Any chance you might be merging memories of two games? I found this one from 1961 where the Pirates beat the Dodgers 4-2 on HRs from Skinner and Maz, but Moon didn't do much that game:

My first in-person game was July 6, 1986, Expos @ Braves.

I was 11. I went with some people from my church after services ended that day. We got there a little late. Two things made that game memorable: 1) Andres Galarraga got hit in the head by Jeff Dedmon. The sound of the ball hitting his batting helmet was so loud we could hear it in the upper deck. I thought he was dead. Lol. 2) Bob Horner hit 4 HR in the game, but we left before his last AB. I wanted to stick around, but the people who took me to the game wanted to get home.

According to that he only threw 3 fastballs tonight. I can remember all 3, he threw 2 to McCutchen in one at bat and his last pitch was 97.2. I find it hard to believe he only threw 3 fastballs.
Gubie commented on his low fastball usage fairly late in the game and said he only had thrown two at that point. I don't know if he's looking at the StatCast/Baseball Savant stuff or just tracking it on his own, but just thought I'd note that.

Is there a website to see how many of each type of pitch a pitcher throws in a game, preferably live?
Baseball Savant has live box scores that can show this. Here's the Angels/Pirates one:
EDIT: To give some more detail:
- The live box scores are at the top of the BS home page: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/
- Click on the game you want and if you want to see the pitch breakdown, click on the blue "Player Breakdown" tab in the middle of the page, on the line that starts with a blue "Scoreboard" tab.

Good to see O'Hoppe with four hits tonight! He'd been having a tough time recently, so hopefully this can get him back on track.

Angels have 7 runs and 13 hits, but Drury is gonna Drury: 1 for 5 with 2 K.

Now are you excited?
No.

Denzer Guzman hit a HR in his first AB at Rocket City.
Meanwhile, Kochanowicz is struggling yet again. Still early in the game, so maybe he'll settle down.

Really nice outing for Sandoval so far. No walks, five Ks. 47 of 69 pitches for strikes. More of that, please.

I've been a fan since 1999 and I still don't understand the DFA rules.

So one official error for Tucker, and two other plays that he probably should have made.

Inland Empire already lost today. Not sure why they played an afternoon game on a Tuesday. They're now 8-19. Ugly. DiChiara hit a HR and now has a .944 OPS since he got sent down. Still has 15 K in 33 AB at IE, though.

Sandoval is gonna need a shutout tonight to have a shot.

I wonder if Washington will make it to the end of the season with these musical chair line ups keeping the young guys from more abs?
At this point, the "young guys" who are on the major league roster are getting a ton of playing time. That wasn't necessarily the case early in the season, but with Hicks getting the boot and all the injuries, Adell, Moniak, etc are getting plenty of playing time. In fact, if the Angels actually had any minor league depth, there would be plenty of playing time for MORE young guys--but the simple fact of the matter is that they don't, which is why you see randos like Calhoun, Tucker, Pillar, etc.

Tucker booted McCutchen's grounder. This is his 3rd game starting at third base this year. He'd never played there in the majors before this--and had only played there in three games in the minors.

Yeah, I still don't know why he got called up. Maybe just availability at that exact time?
Btw, Rocket City is playing a day game right now. Mederos got pulled after 4 1/3 innings. Gave up 3 runs on 3 hits, 3 BB, and hit 2 guys. Only K'ed 1.
