I'll be more concerned if the stats continue to decline next season and if the team is losing as a result. We are on a fairly small sample size because he's so young.

Found this out reading Susan Slusser's column last night- Soto has NEVER caught for Lester. This will be the first time. Also, no Dunn. Poor guy. might have something to do with his 16 strikeouts in 35 plate appearances vs Shields, although he has a HR and 5 RBI off of him.

Well- if Cespedes was still with the A's we could look forward to seeing Billy Butler getting thrown out at first on a hit to his side of the outfield.

The only team I wouldn't mind winning instead of us (as long as it isn't against us) is Pittsburg. After all, they were the original 1951 Angels in the Outfield team.

At this point it's pretty much all up to Jon Lester. I feel like he's the only constant here. You just never know what you're going to get with the rest of them. KC had a GREAT night last night so hopefully some of that energy translates into another great "Show Me State" performance. You know it's going to be loud! It would be wonderful to see both the Patriots AND A's lose in the same city in a 24 hour period.

Best case scenario on TOP of Best Case Scenario? Angels win the World Series and Josh Hamilton wins MVP for finally going into the beast mode we all hope is still in there somewhere. His performance not only builds his confidence so much that it causes him to go on and win the batting title next year (barely beating out both Pujols and Trout, who won the home run derby) but it also inspires CJ Wilson so much that he has enough PMA to be a Cy Young candidate next season, only losing it because Garret Richards is the clear choice with his 2.04 ERA and 23 wins.
