I feel like this happens if the city of Long Beach literally builds a stadium for the Angels. Which is apparently not close to what’s on the table right now. They don’t even know if the site could support a stadium. They’ll most likely stay in Anaheim and this is a gift for the Angels at the negotiating table. I’m sure Arte is fu*cking pumped.

People are against the bill because it represents cynical and dishonest characterization of what has recently deemed “infanticide” abortions. Procedures that infact almost exclusively take place when there is severely defective fetus that is unviable or when the mothers life is in danger and the pregnancy must be terminated in order to protect the life of the mother. Again, a scenario where the fetus is in general not viable outside of the womb. This can happen “late term” which can be at 24 weeks. What the bill does is wedge open a doorway to criminalize doctors who perform abortions. What’s obscenely and falsely being presented by some republicans is this scenario where healthy or even viable at all births take place and then the baby is killed. That does not happen. It’s a pretty amazing thing to lie about. Which is what is going on here with fu*cks like Ben Sasse. The language of the bill is intentially non specific so it can be broadly applied. If they were so concerned about viable babies being killed post delivery they would explicitly state that in the bill. Which they dont.

I don’t get what the benefit of offering him early opt outs is ? Isn’t it frustrating enough worrying about him bouncing now ? Why would the team do that. If they give him an opt out give one, in the middle of the contract when he’s like 32 or 33. I even hate that. Other then that it’s dumb. If the team is going to throw that kind money at him and make that kind of commitment then the player shouldn’t have escape hatches all over the contract so the team is constantly black mailed. Commit or don’t. Trout is an important piece of the Angels history and is almost certainly the clubs greatest player. Make him an Angels for life and be done with it. It’s good for him, it’s good for the club and it’s good for the fans.

I don’t see the point of being pessimistic in February. The team has good players and brought in some interesting ones. They need a bunch of thing to go right but whatever the Angels are due some luck. 91 wins.

Ya a little bit of time to think about it I like the Guhle get. He’s the kind of player that I believe the Ducks need in the back end to compliment Fowler and Lindholm. Assuming he matches the profile that scouts give him. Admittedly, as a Duck fan i probably overrate Montour. Who, despite flashes really hasn’t demonstrated a lot. The trade is fine.
