  1. How many annoying kids ATT commercials can a person take?
  2. Sittin sweet, ranked at #1 right now.... Where is my foam finger?
  3. Now we can all see, and laugh about, the other brackets in the group.
  4. Forcing you to use their resale systems, so they get a chunk of the surcharges?
  5. Nagging injuries may be something that is going to be a constant part of having Pujols. I have yet to see anything that gives me any indication otherwise.
  6. As Costas and Kaat said during the telecast, this event isn't about the US. It is about whipping up baseball fever in other countries. I have to admit that I watched and even enjoyed a few games, more than any time in the past... But the final rounds felt a bit more like watching soccer, than they did baseball. The earlier rounds had better, more compelling games. The last few games felt more like long 1-0 soccer matches., boring.
  7. Sure does...but hey, it is still a nice thought. We are in the process of building a malting, kilning, and roasting operation that will be the first of it's kind in California. Small batches of specialty grain that will be available to homebrewers in our area. Local grown barley, malted locally. Keeping it local and in tune with true homebrewer ideals. Just hurts to think about 3 mil thrown away to some f'n excersize equipment scammers.
  8. Hard to win a baseball game when you can't score even one run.
  9. I have found the best deals on Craigslist. There are enough of them listed, especially on game days or the day before, that there always seems to be at least one option that I am able to stop by someone's home or office and pick up the tickets personally without going out of my way. No surcharges, no ticketbastard.. Since I am now living in No Cal, figure it is time to give out my secret place for spur of the moment seats. Have also gotten phone numbers of STH's that way, and have picked up thier seats at other times that they couldn't make games. Give it a shot. It works.
  10. After seeing the arms this org has in the minors, nobody should be left out of the realm of possibilities.
  11. J.C. Romero looking ok in the WBC. Cheap insurance move?
  12. LOL...Scioscia would have to either learn to laugh, or he would go after him with a bat. Either way, it would be entertaining.
  13. Frieri can close, though. It is everything before Frieri that is concerning. Krod would be a nice piece to have right now, head case and all. I woud love to have Wilson on board for the stretch, and for next season, but I really don't see Scioscia being able to tolerate his nuttiness for a week, much less a season or two. I just don't see that being a happy situation for either of them.
  14. If Arte was OK with signing Wilson, knowing that both he and Madson might not be effective, or even around, until July-August...Man what a pair to have on this team for the next 2 or 3 seasons. For right now, K-rod would be nice if he would sign for 1 year. Let Scioscia ride K-rod like a horse until the ASB, and then work Wilson and Madson in for the stretch. Sign em all!
  15. Both the Tigers and Angels are hurting , wishing they could find a closer, while Rodney is setting the world on fire. There is something seriously wrong with this.
  16. Time to re-program our remote's "fav's" with TNT TBS and TRU. Anyone know if it is CBS doing the "network" broadcasts? Seems like they usually do. Just hope it isn't Fox. Anything on Fox, I have to DVR to tolerate.
  17. Play in games tonight. Let the festivities begin. This is always my favorite time of year...March Maddness and Opening Day all in the span of 2 weeks. Bottled up 6 gals of German Style Lager just for these 2-3 weeks. Cracking the first ones tonight.
  18. I could have built a damn nice brewery with 3 mil...and I would have been able to deliver great beer, if not a 15% return right away.
  19. While the Giants made a mistake giving Zito that contract, they do have 2 out of the last 3 World Series wins. Our recent 250 million investment hasn't even paid off with a playoff game yet. 40+ million, so far, to Wells hasn't even paid off with one f'n win in over 300 games played since. Not sure us Angel fans should be laughing at anyone, when it comes to stupid, huge, contracts.
