  1. Outside of the Maroon injury ($&*!), great overall game. The rookie William Karlsson is legit. His first goal was a howitzer of a shot!
  2. Man what an amazing goal by Getzlaf in the last minute to steal 2 points. The team overall looked good in the 1st period, not really so much the rest.
  3. From what I have heard/read I have little doubt pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine shot down the plane. Reports say the rebels just recently got advanced surface-to-air missiles from Russia, they are reporting the rebels were even bragging about having those missiles, they just shot down a Ukraine cargo the other day, they shot down a military jet, and on top of all that at the same time the MH17 was shot down, the rebels was taking claim at shooting at a 'Ukraine cargo jet.'
  4. The Lakers sign Jordan Hill to a two year $18 million contract. ...boy am I stoked....
  5. 1. I would MUCH rather see $5 million more in cap space in the coming off seasons than a streaky backup SG. Cap flexibility in the coming years is vital IMO. 2. I don't see Young as a desirable trade asset in the future. Nobody wanted him last year (in the off season or the trade deadline) and that's why he only took like $1 million last year. In a couple of years he will be 31 and still just an okay backup SG. Streaky SG's are a dime a dozen. I don't see him much as a tradable asset in the future.
  6. The Lakers organization is so, so dumb. They need a ton of cap room for the next few off seasons if they hope to have a championship team anytime soon. Signing a streaky backup SG on a 4 year contract does not help to build a championship team.
  7. I'm a pretty big fan of Bob Murray. I am very pleased with his trades and what he does with the draft. That being said, the Ducks always seems underwhelming for the free agent period. Today is just another example. I don't like the contract Stoner got today, plus he is a redundant and limited player (big and strong but no real offensive game, kinda just like Allen and Fistric). Heck, when was the last time the Ducks got a good player during the free agent process? Koivu in 2009?
  8. I love the Kesler trade, I love the new jersey, and the more I read I love the Ritchie pick (the dude is big, and from highlights fast and skilled as well). Not a bad day for the Ducks.
  9. I have a serious man crush on Christopher Nolan. Obviously I have not watched Interstellar yet, but I'm certain I'll be watching this movie more than once in the theaters.
  10. Anaheim's John Gibson is the first NHL goalie in 86 years (Tiny Thompson, 1928) to earn a shutout in his regular season AND playoff debuts https://twitter.com/Jeffler/status/465347188566941697 ...the kid is unreal.
  11. The entire defensive group for the Ducks last night was absolutely useless in the offensive zone. Fowler in particular was awful; he was hesitant to shot or pass all night. Ugh... ...on the lighter note,
  12. They need to bring up Vatanen. I guess the coaching staff wants the team to be more physical, but they need more scoring opportunities more than anything else. The Ducks are only 2.25 Goals per Game (or 14th out of 16 teams in the postseason).
  13. well *$!^. Getzlaf is out for game 4 (upper body). listed as day-to-day.
  14. ESPN is not even trying to cover hockey... "And what of the Anaheim Ducks, who once again will enter the postseason as the second seed in the Western Conference and are exponentially better than they were a year ago, but who will face the winner of the Sharks-Kings series in the second round of the California cage-death match, assuming they don't get knocked off by the surging Minnesota Wild?" http://espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/10770107/why-boston-bruins-win-all ...also, Andersen is the starter for game one (per eric stephens).
  15. Hiller is not exactly making his case to be the number 1 goalie heading into the playoffs.
  16. The Oilers should trade Taylor Hall to the Ducks this offseason...just because. The guy looked great last night in Anaheim.
  17. As much as I want the Ducks winning the Pacific Division (nice seeing another L today for San Jose) I actually want the Senators to suck big time for the last couple of weeks. Sadly, I was actually more bummed yesterday seeing the Senators win than the Ducks losing in OT.
  18. Good news everyone. Harry Reid never said obamacare horror stories are lies. I'm convinced. I almost feel like an idiot thinking otherwise.
