I don't get the hate for what Murray did at the trade deadline. From what I have read from other boards, the Ducks are one of the losers at the trade deadline. Penner was not going to make or break this season. The team's depth at forward is their strength, and they basically traded away one for a good stay-at-home right handed D. Fowler - Lovejoy Beauchemin - Vatanen Lindholm - Robidas I love that defensive depth. On top of that, I am looking forward to have other forwards like Palmieri and Etem have the opportunity to step up now. Even more, I am trilled Murray didn't trade away a high pick or prosect for a rental.

I didn't know much about Fistric last year but he has been great for his role with the Ducks. A physical defenseman and he always seems to be in a good position on the ice (unlike a player like Sbisa).

I have the same sentiments. As much as I question some play calling, I do believe the coaching staff has done wonders to help Mathews turn it around.

When it comes to Bobby Ryan, I remember generally liking him whenever I was checking out his stat line during the season, but not as much while watching him play. For me, for all the points he is able to produce he never looked like a game-changing player. I was always amazed that he had scored 30 points by the end of the season. Though I am surprised the way Burke lays him out, I wouldn't totally disagree with his assessment.
