Man I am so tempted to go on a tirade about the whole situation...it doesn't matter though I guess. All I know is Josh is ending up winning big time at the end of this chapter and the Angels are just going to have to turn the page from just another mistake from the organization.

It was an impressive series for the Ducks, even more so seeing Getz playing subpar for the last two games. I don't know if he is 100% healthy or not, but I hope he is ready to play better in the next series. I wonder what BB is going to do with the lineups in the next round? When is Wiz going to see some playing time? I thought he would be penciled in over Despres in the playoffs but he got better every game over the series. He played great last night.

The Oilers have had the first overall pick 4 times in the last 6 years. That is just pathetic for the organization and even more for the NHL. No team should be able to be rewarded so much for tanking.

Like already mentioned, a lot of fans and analysts are predicting a first round out for the Ducks. But those are probably the same people a week ago who also predicted the Kings to make the playoffs and was going to make a dangerous playoff run. Anyways, the Ducks have the talent to make a long playoff run and I like the teams odds. Of course one concern is the goaltending, but I think it will be okay. My biggest concern is chemistry. BB throws out different pairings every game. I still don't have any guess what lines are going to play against the Jets. The Jets are a big and pretty talented team, but i'll go with the Ducks in 6.

Nice win to clinch the top seed in the West, but Nate Thompson left in the 3rd with an arm injury and didn't return. He is good for his role. Wagner has looked pretty good for the last few games, but after that there is not really anyone else to fill the C position.

wow, the refs are awful in this game. they miss a high stick, they missed a hit to the head, and then they miss an obvious goalie interference that lead to a goal against the Ducks.

Sounds like Stoner is out and Vats is back in the lineup and paired with Fowler. Should be a fun game, the team is finally healthy.

I have been trying to wait until the team is healthy to criticize BB but it is hard. His lines are perplexing and changes them every period. I just saw Sekac might be on the fourth line for todays game with Cogliano and Thompson. Really? Sekac has some good offensive skill set and 7 and 44 has none. Just another weird line.

I am with nate. I am a fan of Stoner. There is nothing sexy about his game, but what he does (hit, clear the zone, play good D) he does it well.

Man, what a busy week...so many trades. My first reaction: man what a good week for the Ducks on the trade front. I will miss Wild Bill and maybe the 2nd round pick, but outside of that what great asset management for now and even down the road. Wiz is going to make the D a lot more dynamic. DSP for Sekac could be a steal down the road. Same think with Lovejoy for Despres. My only complain is, man this team is too deep. What LW is going to sit when everyone is healthy? What D is going to sit once Vats is back? If I am not mistaken, I even think a D will be sent back once Vats is activated? Good problem to have I guess.

Maybe I am just an optimist but I really like what I have seen from Sekac so far. He has speed, good vision, he can hit...I really like his play making abilities. Good win tonight.

Ya, I would take that rumor with a big grain of salt. That being said, I would lovvvve to have Babcock back as the head coach. I could hope that rumor have some legs, but the Ducks just signed BB for an extension last year. I have been a fan of BB as the coach, but I am starting have some doubts. A new lineup every game. They just traded for a LW, and his already being penciled in to play as RW for tonight's game?

Sounds like Sekac's visa was approved and will be playing for tonight's game. I am looking forward to watching him play, a lot of MTL fans on a hockey forums were raving about his potential.

I don't think salary would be an issue with Myers. He is controlled to 2019 and his cap hit is only at 5.5M (and his deal was front loaded, so the Ducks would actually paying even less for the rest of his deal). I think the risk is just Myers himself. He is still an enigma. He was great as a rookie, but just so-so ever since on a really crappy team.

Trade rumors aflutter....would the Ducks be thinking about trading Fowler for Myers? That is an interesting rumor to say the least. Myers as an interesting player (mainly because he is tall and a respectable skater for his size). Fowler is great on defense but somewhat limited on the offensive side. Forget about his extension, McCarthy just lost the game. He is just a bad head coach. He is Norv Turner 2.0. Offensive brilliance but a awful head coach (like trying to kill the clock the entire 4th quarter).

That ****er Mike McCarthy should be fired immediately based on his performance today as a head coach. Trying to kill the clock with 8 minutes to go. Not putting in his best RB. And I guess he was the only one in the world who didn't see the fake FG coming. Just awful, awful coaching.
