And Perry is the GM so he should be putting up some type of fight.
Honestly, I think he's a terrible GM.
Are you saying he should have gone public? That would be a career killer.
Maybe he has behind the scenes.
I find it difficult to say he is a terrible GM considering our recent history of short-lived GM's. Seems like another entity is the constant here meanwhile the GM's are forever revolving.

Sorry but while Arte takes most of the blame, there needs to be push back from the GM on the team's future success. So he gets part of the blame.
You also don't know if he did try and Arte just shut it down. At that point, it would be all on Arte. We just don't know that dynamic either way for sure. All we do know is this...

Saw this show last Friday at The Rady Shell in San Diego. Great show and great venue.
Thats a great venue. Saw TATE there with the San Diego Symphony backing them. Was an amazing evening. Seeing Avett there in October.

And let’s be honest. The Angels swing the bats a lot better in low pressure situations ie, down big.
Like they have been in a high-pressure situation the last decade.

I said long ago that Adel needs to buy a 1st base glove. Seriously, give it a try. Every ball hit his way is a hold your breath adventure. I know he was safe last night BUT how does a player make it all the way to MLB and still doesn't know how to slide?
DH maybe his only hope.
So lets put him at a position where he will see the ball more often?
And at a position he has never played?
Sounds disastrous.

Here is to Adell getting on base and running the bases without a mishap.

I’m late to this thread, but this is what I put on Twitter Monday:
During yesterday’s game, Erica Weston said that Schanuel said the key to his success Wednesday was going back to who he is.
It seems like he was trying to be someone he wasn’t, and now he’s going back to the approach he took last year.
It’ll be interesting to see how the next two to three weeks look, assuming he sticks with his old approach.

Cultural change (to use a neutral term) activists use any and every such public controversy to further their agenda. Generating immediate media attention. Which often obfuscates a fair, neutral assessment of the details without emotional bias.
Not judging this specific case because each side is adamant with their narrative.
In hockey junior player Logan Mailloux amongst others admitted having sexual relations with a teenage girl in Sweden a few years ago. He too was a teen. He was immediately punished when the story came out. It was his draft igible year. Surprising everyone the Montreal Canadiens took him in the first round. And generated hysterical condemnation. But Mailloux went through rehabilitation, accepted his punishment. Now he is an elite prospect who just played his first game in the NHL. And most fans and media are now sympathetic and forgiving. The fact that he was a teen at the time is one factor the acceptance of his subsequent rehabilitation.

*not offended by Trevor Bauer beating up women
*offended by network TV animated sitcom clip
You can call something disgusting and not find humor in it and not actually be offended.
Strange culture we live in where people love to say "triggered" just due to a response that was counter theirs.
You find it funny, I don't. It can just be that simple.
You also have failed to connect that clip to what the discussion is here.
Who did Bauer beat up?

Doesn't the commissioner essentially work for the MLB owners?
The Astros cheating scandal shows all you need to know about the current commissioner. Common sense alludes him.

There was a reason we signed him fairly quickly. He (wisely) jumped on an offer that appeared to be out of line with his track record.

Why isn't Jo Adell getting more playing time?

Been frustrated with all the recent GM's. Something just tells me it isn't the GM's so much.
It's not like Perry is the first GM that has been looked at this way. If it is the GM's, it just means the ownership can't properly assess what traits and track records lead to a successful GM.
