    They can't. Not really. Making it easier to do just seems counter productive to me.

    Is speeding up the game the reason for the change? As far as I'm concerned they should ban IBB's all together. People are there to see a pitcher take on a batter, not pick and choose who best suits them. Don't get me wrong, i can appreciate the stratergy but at least make them work a little for it.

    I'm looking forward to seeing how the bullpen turns out. It may be a complete cluster to start out, but will be interesting to see which of the potential starters that miss out on that no. 5 spot end up in the pen. They will be good to help limit the innings on starters as well.

    Will be interesting to see how the starting rotatiom looks next year with thise two back. Young (in playing time) bunch of guys will be good going forward

    I know a lot will depend on performane, but what do you think the chances are of the Angels extending one of their potential free agents to ease the pressure on next offseason? And who is most likely? Replacing LF, 3B, 2B and C all over again leaves a lot of uncertainty.

    They can always sign Conger back to replace him. He got traded away so he must've got good by now

    Just listened to some audio grabs from Espinosa about joining the Angels. He seems legitimately excited to be coming over.

    Have the Angels been talking to Chacin about coming back? He could help take up a few innings out of the pen and spot start. Nothing spectacular but you know what youll be getting and shouldn't cost a lot

    Would have been interesting to see what would have happened to Weavers season if it wasn't for all of he injured starters.

    Yeah hes an older rookie. Gotta wonder with guys like this how they would've progressed without the injuries

    Hope they do bring Chacin back, providing the contract is reasonable of course. He'd be good depth with GRich returning from injury, Meyer also and being a rookie, etc.
