    I would like to see a historical comparison between farm system rankings and minor league records. Maybe there is a correlation between the two or maybe not. If so it makes sense that our minor league teams suck the last 5 years because so does our farm system.

    Yes because it’s remarkable that he’s already been here for 8 years and we might only get to witness his physical peak again for another 4. It feels like just yesterday when he was closer to 20 than 30. Shows how fast time flies.

    How so? there is extensive research on this that says the avg mlb athlete starts their physical decline between 32-33. But hey bring in any evidence you have

    Can't believe he's already 28. Only 4 more years (roughly) of prime baseball. Hopefully he can buck that trend as well and play just as well deep into his 30's.

    15 hrs in his last 23 and we’re probably under .500 during that span. So sad. Letting Trout down is one of the biggest failures in sports history. His whole 20’s might be wasted ?

    I've said it before but Suarez isn't a major league level pitcher. Canning will suck at times but you can see the potential. Can't say the same with Suarez. Nothing shows me he can be in a rotation unless something really changes.

    Yeah that's the main point I was getting at. Our current position leads to disappointment because there is some level of expectation.

    Not Memphis this year but how they largely have been since 01. Everybody knew they didn't have a chance at contention but they were also not bad (most years). Maybe the Blazers are a better comparison. Just slightly above middle of the road which is one of the worst places to be in sports. I believe in the full tank or all in philosophy that's become prominent in every sport.

    I kinda feel like we're the Memphis Grizzlies the last 5 years. Just kind of there. Not good enough to really compete but not bad enough to be one of the worst teams in the league and get a great draft pick.

    The issue with both is inconsistency. Adell has a tremendous ceiling and it's worth seeing what that might be even if it means losing Calhoun or Upton, which was already inevitable. You should be excited about Adell, he's our best prospect since Trout. Look what the Astro's were able to do once they accumulated enough of these high level prospects. Also, pitching is largely going to come through FA or trades..

    He hasn't been playing well at all lately. I wonder if this is just a move to shake up his environment and get him with better coaching to help get out of the slump.
