#Athletics acquire Adam Dunn and cash considerations from the Chicago White Sox for minor league pitcher Nolan Sanburn.

Dombrowski and Jack Z are both morons.
Dombrowski is one of the Best GM's in baseball.

Josh Hamilton lf

5 years/$125M (2013-17)
- signed by LA Angels as a free agent 12/13/12
- $10M signing bonus, $2M to Hamilton’s charity ($0.4M annually)
- 13:$15M, 14:$15M, 15:$23M, 16:$30M, 17:$30M
- full no-trade clause
- award bonuses: $0.5M for MVP ($75,000 for second or third in MVP vote). $0.1M for WS MVP. $75,000 each for Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, LCS MVP. $50,000 for All-Star
- perks: hotel suite on road, luxury suite for 2013-14 home games, right to pay $0.15M/season for luxury suite for 2015-17 home games
We are stuck with him so get used to it.
Wells had a full no-trads also, it means nothing. Hamilton has a ego and would love playing on ESPN's favorite team. He hardly gets talked about on the Angels.

Kemp is a RH, so the Green Monster would be his friend. He's also a smaller hit on the luxury tax. No clue why the Sox would want either of them to be honest.
Matt Kemp has been worth -1.1 WAR this season. Only 2 NL position players have been worth less: Domonic Brown (-1.5), Jedd Gyorko (-1.3).

This is the least Boston can do after that salary dump deal with the Dodgers two years ago
It would give the Doyers a sick rotation for the playoffs.
-
-
Wait, why in the hell would Boston do either of those trades?

Who has more value Kemp or Hamilton? If the Angels could get Lester and get rid of that contract or most of it they should do it.

Mike Scioscia: Angels pitching struggles a concernAfter a 13-9 loss to the Kansas City Royals, the Angels' manager acknowledges that the team's 7.26 ERA this late in spring is something to watch.

Last year he was concerned about the pitching, coming out of spring training.

Dipoto just now on XM radio said Hamilton will be out at least 4 more weeks and Calhoun 4 to 5 weeks. He mentioned Grant Green might get called up to play in the OF after he he gets more practice at that position.

Looking DDLR stuff right now. No he should not have been in this game.

Anyone going to televise-stream this?
Today's press conference will air live at 1:30 on @FoxSportsWest #angels

"CEO Stan Kasten announces #Dodgers will have sold 3million tix before 1st home game. First time in franchise history."
Have the Angels even sold out the home opener yet?

Two birds with one stone here.
1- Angels build a new stadium and develop an awesome bar/restaurant downtown atmosphere along the new stadium.
2- The current stadium is torn down and a NFL stadium is built in its place.
Win-win for everyone.
Who is going to pay for this NFL stadium? The city of Anaheim doesn't have the money, also the NFL wants to be in LA not OC.
-
If google maps is correct it would take about 23 mins. in current traffic from my house, I can live with that. I like the idea of a NEW stadium.
-
? I don't get it
What's not to get? Did you click the link? Angels started talks with Tustin about a new stadium.
-
Anaheim likes to say #Angels Stadium site is surrounded by 3 freeways and a train station. So is this Tustin site: http://lat.ms/1dxT3hE

The City of Anaheim is broke and Arte wants the entire parking lot for free to develop hotels and restaurants. The City would be foolish to give up that land.
Yeah, much better to have a empty stadium and not draw 3 million fans every year to Anaheim. LA gave the Doyers the land to build, think they regret it? I don't, I hope the Angels do leave Anaheim, f them. I'm a Angels fan and could care less about that crappy city. I spend a LOT of money in Anaheim because of the Angels, I would have no problem spending in a different city.
No news on Shoe?

#Angels Matt Shoemaker played light catch on off day and going to do so again now. Feels he's close to getting on mound. Still optimistic
