While all you old guys may just want to look at runners lob at the end of the night that’s fine. However Major League Baseball also tracks and posts individual lob that is defined as not getting a hit or walk with a runner on base. It is as useful a stat as any of the other 50 useless things they keep track of. If you don’t like it, tough. It does track how the hitters are hitting with runners on better than just team lob.
Boo boo. Surprising to see someone defending the dodgers here. Pointing out the degree of failure of the dodgers hitters. I understand basic baseball and math. In this case however it is an enjoyable number to throw out.
You just gonna keep reposting my posts. Cool thanks.
I actually like the individual lob. While it doesn’t reflect the team lob it does reflect how often the team has failed with runners on.
No playoffs for the dodgers. Poor situational hitters. Poor bullpen. They going down. Betts will be too 5 worst contracts ever by the end. 10 years for a .260 hitter. Skinny fast guys don’t age well.
Unfortunately long middle relievers are most often needed when your starter has already shot the bed and you need to get 3-4 innings out of someone. How about start with the better pitchers, even if you only get 3-4 to start. Save Quintana for junk time long relief. Why not piggyback Rodriguez and Sandoval. They each get 50-60 pitches. Be better than Quintana or Cobb.
Just wondering where you think Albert will finish the year (if anywhere). How many home runs do you think he’ll get? How many of those will be against the angels?
I heard white sox(who denied it) Cleveland and Colorado.
Certainly not a man of his word. He told the cardinals fans he would never leave just for more money. The told the angels fans he’d retire when he couldn’t contribute. Neither happened.
Another forgotten thing is that fowlers injury forced Walsh to RF which opened up first base. Had he not tore his knee up this whole situation may have played out earlier.
Agreed. Anybody who puts this on the angels is delirious. The angels informed Albert that his playing time would be decreased, and rightfully so. Albert showing his pure selfishness by wanting to play full time despite evidence of his declining skills. The reason has nothing to do with the team. He just wants the opportunity to pad his personal stats. Hubris.
