  1. 4-3 now Oakland on a hbp and 2 walks with bases loaded. Still loaded 2 outs.
  2. See. Always good to know the manager on the other sides a complete idiot. Nice win.
  3. Surprised they don’t walk Adell. Set up do with bembokm
  4. Lol. Each team says “ oh yeah, our relievers are worse than yours...”
  5. That Abraham toro guy is another disaster. I can’t remember seeing this many bad players around mlb. Maybe the lack of spring training?
  6. How does Houston have a winning record? Their lineup sucks and their pitching is obviously not great. On paper they are worse than the angels....
  7. If I was a hitting coach I would recommend benching anyone that swing at a first pitch on a 109 degree day.
  8. Shouldn’t the elderly stay inside when it’s this hot. Hopefully Pujols stayed home for his protection.
  9. Because Maddon is one of those managers that thinks he’s so much smarter than anyone so he has to move the lineup around just to prove it.
  10. Um, im not really sure of your point. Of course he won’t, he’ll be 35. While after that last at bat Pujols is sitting at .647, he has never posted that low for a season. How about I take your bet if you bet double or nothing that he won’t post an ops of 1.200 in 2025.
  11. Oh and since you want to be nit picky about details, in 2010 he led the league in runs, rbi, hr, and ops+. He finished second in the mvp race and would have won these days since he had a higher war with very similar stats to Joey Votto. I think you are thinking about 2011 (he did lead the league in gidp that year though)
  12. I think mike trout is still the best offensive player in the league and he has a tie for one offensive category right now.
  13. And no one thought they would be talking about Pujols like this now. I’m too lazy to search and see if you ever had anything positive to say about him but I think most were in agreement that the first 5 years would be really good. We are no longer in the steroid/ped era and players decline earlier. Trout is only 29 but he started logging mlb mileage on his body at 19. I don’t know if he’ll decline but the odds are he will at around 35. Then there is 5 more years or so on the contract to see how low will he go. If he declines like Pujols did I guarantee that even though he will be an all time great angel there will be calls for him to move aside, just like Pujols.
  14. Corrected trouts age but can’t tell what you are arguing about. Are you telling that NO ONE else on these boards has concerns that in 5-6 years they will be talking about trout like they talk about Pujols now? If you are arguing that he was the best offensive player, please give stats of a guy with a comparable decade to Pujols.
  15. And who doubles down on that by signing a 28 year old to a 12 year deal. Remember Pujols was mike trout 10 years ago. The unquestioned best offensive player in the game.
  16. Or all of the lineup except the top three. Look at those averages. Barf!! So far glad the angels didn’t empty what’s left of the farm for this guy.
  17. They need to continue to sit Albert and play Walsh everyday at first and dh Ohtani everyday. You gotta see if Ohtani can figure it out and give Walsh the experience he needs. They are the future, Albert is the past.
  18. Can anyone think of a another sure fire hall of famer who had a more forgetful last 10 years than Pujols?
  19. Has having a kid ever ruined a baseball career? I know Vlad says no.....
