    That umpire giving up the home run ball really screwed the angels. let’s face it. The umpires are bad, we know they are bad. They are always worse when the angels lose. There will be no changes during the season so at some point it is useless to keep pointing it out.

    The dodgers fans got a good look at Alberts speed and effort. The diamondbacks shortstop was playing out in left field and threw out Pujols on a slow grounder.

    Barring injury ohtani will hit 65 hr this year.

    If you call him an 8 WAR player and he is missing about 40 games of the season. That is only a difference of 2 games over the 40 games. Pitching is still the key to success or failure of the team. They have enough offense assuming no one else gets hurt.

    It really sucks that the angels are the only team in the league that have umpires make bad calls for. that said, I agree. I would actually think umpires would welcome this. Except guys like angel hernandez and joe west who like to make the game about them.

    Giving ONE player the extra day off isn’t bad. Giving half your team the extra day off and playing with a scrub roster against a division rival is dumb.

    Too true. Unless I’m mistaken this year does not have the expanded playoffs. The royals, twins, and tigers are shaping up to be three of the worst teams in the league making Cleveland and Chicago two of the teams. Two teams will likely come from the al east which means the best shot is winning the division. That’s what makes resting half your team against a division rival while already in last place puzzling. Can’t be giving games away despite the long season.

    I was listening to a show on mlbnetwork radio this afternoon when they were talking about the Pujols situation. They said the biggest error was not informing mike trout immediately after the decision was made. They were discussing whether this would anger trout how it was handled and how he found out and if the angels did not have success this year he might ask for a trade.

    Actually I think the angels earned this one. Good situational pitching and timely hitting for one inning.
