At this rate the Angels won't win a game all season!

I like the optimism but it wasn't the pitching.

I was mad when Sporting News picked us to finish fourth in the West.

Now I'm thinking they might have been a bit optimistic.

This team doesn't seem to be off to a very good start.
Quick, someone sacrifice their first born.

Season starts and there is a flat team. Cubs have scored 10 runs so far in this series and the Angels haven't even sniffed ONE run. It's so frustrating being a fan of this team.

It's fun to say that every year since 2002. It gives us hope

2002 proved that games in April don't matter. April is essentially extended spring training.

Reminder: We havent won a World Series since Mike Scioscia had Joe Maddon on his coaching staff

Scioscia Bylaw #2002: April games don't count. You can start slow every year and go on an unprecedented run in September to get in the postseason.

So decrees His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Mike I.

Not quite. The Cubs went with their starters, then lifted most of them after a couple of times through the order. Bryant played the whole game.

Our AAA scrub roster BEAT the Cubs on Sunday. Let's call those guys back up.

Some of you seem to need to understand that fans aren't mad because we lost the first two games. Fans aren't calling a 2 game losing streak a slow start. The fans did not expect this team to beat the Cubs both games, and I bet a lot of us didn't expect to even win one.

The fans are mad because we got RAPED.

The Cubs are top to bottom better than the Angels, but this is baseball, where the best teams win 60% of the time and the worst win 40% of the time. With the quality of the performances by everyone involved in those two games we were going to win 0% of those games. We were probably 'in the game' for about 6 or 7 innings total in the two games. Even the ****ing Netherlands could beat some of the top nations in the WBC but the Angels couldn't even manage to look any better than some AAA scrub roster against the Cubs.

Lol. Always trying to shift the blame on the previous gm.
If theo had arte as his owner, the cubs would be in the same situation.

No, but he did take a Rays team with a miniscule payroll to the World Series. Scioscia has always had a top 5 or 10 payroll and yet somehow the team always underperforms. Want to explain that?

I'm starting to hate hearing about 2002. In 2002, Mike Scioscia clogged the clubhouse bathroom toilet before game 2 of the regular season. Scioscia also clogged the clubhouse bathroom toilet last night. Therefore, this season will be a lot like 2002!

    1)  Cubs are likely the WS favorites, with maybe the Mets next because of their pitching.
    2)  It's only been two games against that Cubs team, no panic necessary.    However,
    3)  Why do Scioscia teams start off slow almost every season.   What common traits lead to that?

Angels fans know the real season starts in late September, when we're four games back and then go on a seven-game win streak, but lose the 161st game in heartbreaking fashion to finish just short of a playoff spot.

Who cares about the team sleepwalking through April. That last week or so is going to be exciting as hell!
