Pujols hitting behind Trout really makes all kinds of no sense.
-
Sean Newcomb was solid in his first start. 5 ip, 1 er, 5 k's.
-
Escobar
Trout
Pujols
Calhoun
Cron
Simmons
Giavatella
Perez
Gentry

A-Rod is protected by who?
Huh?
-
Thats an unfair comparsion. Given that A-Rod plays in a little league parkk for 81 games and a handful of road games.
So ill go ahead and render this thread finished and ready for a lock.

Meanwhile were still stuck with crappy infied defense by putting Escobar at 3rd and JG at 2nd. This team needs to put Escobar at 2nd where he can hold his own and put CowaKubi at 3rd. Been saying it for months. JG's bat is not worth the crappy defense we will have.

To be honest if were still crappy in 5 years, he should leave.

The amount of fail you must possess to worry about Trout wanting to leave in five years is immense.
Whos this directed at?
-
Trout's not going to want to stay here again. And can you blame him?
We have what like 4, 5 years until this becomes a problem.
-
Nice call.
Yep, spot on.
-
Thats okay the offense will carry us. Next man up! (To swing at crap and have awful ab's)

The Cubs are patient, they dont swing at crap, they work counts, they take walks, they dont try to do too much, and they primarily only swing at their pitch.
Pretty easy to tell which of these teams is managed by Joe Maddon and which is managed by Mike Scioscia.
-
YOu need to stop putting any relevance into spring training. They face a lot of minor leaguers and the guys who do pitch in the bigs are usually working on stuff
Oh I never put any relevance into spring training. Im just saying every year they prove they are capable of having a good plate approach then the season starts and it all goes away.
-
Every spring they have a good approach at the plate and have good at bats. Then the season starts and its back to Scioscia ball.

Theres something different about this Cubs lineup compared to the Angels lineup. But I cant quite put my finger on it.
-
Exactly why you dont walk 2 straight leadoff batters. This team will put the ball in play and find openings so you better not give them anything free.
-
I was promised Simmons would be making plays like that
Wait til Newcomb becomes a top 5 pitcher in baseball. Its too early to start b****ing about Simmons.
-
Cant really put all the blame on Cron. Walking back to back guys in a dangerous lineup is stupid.
-
"Cron has trouble with it"
Get used to hearing these words a lot this season
