Remind me again why it wasnt a terrible trade?  Because Vargas is a flyball pitcher?  Because he had one start last year where he gave up 7 runs and without it his ERA was decent?  I remember a whole thread on it from the last forum.

So lets hear it again. 

Trout batting leadoff is a stupid idea.  He needs to be hitting 2nd, right in front of Albert.  Having Trout on base is bothersome for pitchers, the best way to capitalize on that is to put Albert or Josh in those situations.  Having Trout leadoff and putting someone like Aybar behind him only screws it up because if Trout gets on with 2 outs, you still have another batter to get to Pujols.  With Aybars low OBP its a complete waste. 

Trout on base with Pujols or Josh up means less pitch outs, more fastballs, and more strikes.  Thats exactly what you would want for your 3-4 hitters.

Started the season 9-1 and are currently up 9-0 in the 8th inning against the Nats. Would be mighty fun to be a Braves fan right now.

Why do people make posts like this.  Suspensions need to be handed out.

The A's are a team of destiny every single night.  They have a roster full of career no names, but they somehow find lightning in a bottle every game.  Like that first game of the series, John Jaso with 20 career homers in over 900 at-bats, hits a 3 run bomb late.  Josh Donaldson, a career .231 hitter, with a career .662 OPS, goes 6-14 against us with a homer and 3 RBI in the series.  Coco Crisp, with 90 home runs in over 4 thousand at bats, has 4 already to start the year. 

Im sure I could go up and down their whole roster and find more examples.  It really makes no sense at all.  We have guys who mash their whole career and turn into scrubs, the A's have scrubs that can turn into an all star on any given night and somehow propel them to win.

How the f*** do the A's always do this.  3 run home run to a guy with 20 career home runs in almost 1000 AB's.
