  1. I fully expect that OBP to drift right around Pujols area when he begins to decline.
  2. Some GM will be stupid enough to give him what he wants. He has absolutely no range defensively though. For as bad as I wanted him earlier, I cant take watching another Featherston clone for 2016.
  3. Bad managing leaving him in after walking a guy. And on a side note, you have a 2 run lead, WTF are you walking guys for?
  4. This guy has absolutely no range defensively.
  5. Has to be one of the dumbest players in baseball. No idea how you can get picked off to end the game like that, very Angels esque. He seems to have horrible range too. Costed them 2 games now with his glove on plays he should have made. Hit .291 this season but only managed a .328 OBP. Has a .319 OBP for his career. Strikes out a lot, doesnt have any plate discipline, makes bonehead plays routinely. Just turned 30, athleticism will start to decline, and when it does he will become Vernon Wells. With that said, Arte is probably licking his chops right now. Oh yeah and you can find him on the golf course tomorrow morning.
  6. Doesnt matter if you hit 10 homers in a postseason and your team sweeps to a World Series berth. You could still be Bill Buckner if you do what Murphy just did.
  7. He plays golf before every game, and refuses to stop.
  8. Yes and I expect them both to be solid in their next start.
  9. Winner of tomorrow night wins the series. Mets will have Harvey, Degrom, and Noah going in the following 3. Doubt the Royals starters hold up 2nd time around.
  10. Really surprising Ventura isnt losing his mind tonight. I expect a benches clear by the time he leaves the game.
  11. Whatever you say Failos. You should really just use one account, switching back and forth must be difficult.
  12. So my original statement is correct. His base running mentality did cost us a playoff run. Thanks for playing.
  13. So we didnt lose many games this year due to poor baserunning? Yeah someones in denial.
  14. The hope is Erstad would put an end to the baserunning Scioscia mentality that has cost this team many games and playoff runs over the years. Erstad was always a smart player even with all his grit. Regardless, our manager already costs us a lot of games with his decision making alone, so I dont think Erstad could possibly be worse.
  15. Can we please give them tubby and hire Erstad to be our manager. I mean for ****** sake. My disdain for Arte grows every offseason.
  16. Its game 7 and the Angels have a 5-2 lead. Troy Percival has just loaded the bases with 2 outs, and the next batter is Barry Bonds. Do you walk him, or pitch to him?
  17. On the bright side, if anyone still has any faith in the Ducks to win the cup, you'll get some pretty good odds right about now.
  18. So a 41 year old married a 25 year old girl. So just because its Jeter that doesnt make it creepy?
  19. Why cant everybody just admit that the MVP award really just means best player on a playoff team?
  20. He should get it. Pithers park, crap teammates, still led the league in OPS. Donaldson played in a hitters park, in a hitters division, with great teammates, still didnt top Trouts numbers.
  21. I wouldnt mind getting Price because hes 2 years younger than Greinke, and I think his postseason struggles have been overblown. He still has a 1.17 WHIP in 63 innings for the postseason, but most of his trouble comes from giving up homers. If Weaver can have a 3.00 ERA at home, I think Price would do fine at Angel Stadium. It comes down to whatever their asking price is, and how much they really wanted to sign with the Angels. My hope is Trout did some recruiting at the All Star Game with Greinke and Price. Murphy's hot streak came out of nowhere, but it isnt a fluke. Hes always been a pretty good hitter for a 2nd basemen. He hits for good average, provides a decent OBP, and doesnt strike out much. He struck out 38 times this season in 499 at bats. Compare that to Howie Kendrick this year for the Dodgers, 82 strike outs in 464 at bats. Do you think that its any surprise that Murphy was getting hot all of a sudden, and Kendrick was up to his usual antics flailing at pitches in the NLDS? The recent power surge hes having is obviously not what anyone expected, but he was batting cleanup for a reason when they began that series with the Dodgers. Im not sure but he did have a problem with Puig. Greinke supposedly has a social anxiety disorder, which is why it wouldnt surprise me if he doesnt enjoy playing for the Dogs.
  22. This Ducks team is starting to remind me a lot of the Angels. No accountability from anyone, especially the captain or the coach.
  23. The fact that hes 32 scares me, but hes shown no signs of regression and he seems to have at least 3 more dominant years left in him. Last I heard he wasnt too happy with the Dodgers clubhouse. Im hoping we can somehow get him for 5 years even if its for a crap load of money.
