  11. Matt Harvey could have been the Angels’ problem. In 2007 they drafted Harvey in the third round. He threw hand grenades for his Connecticut high school team, and the fact that he’d committed to North Carolina didn’t faze Eddie Bane, the scouting director. Three years before, Bane had signed Nick Adenhart, who also was the top prep pitcher in the nation and also had committed to the Tar Heels. Adenhart was coming off an elbow injury, but the Angels still picked him in the 14th round and gave him $710,000 in persuasion money. Harvey, then as now a Scott Boras client, wanted $1 million. Arte Moreno, the Angels owner, wouldn’t budge. http://www.dailynews.com/sports/20150908/los-angeles-angels-could-have-had-matt-harvey-with-a-little-more-investment

  14. Something has to be done about fat kids and adult in the US. Obesity related health issues are sucking up tax money. Education isn't working. And there's more information than ever. A tax is a solution...what else can be done? Seemed to work for smoking. Those lebron " i'll never tell you to drink sprite" spots are a pussy move by him. No one is holding his and others' feet to fire for selling sugar water to youngsters.
