  1. Let's face it.

If the team was in the playoff hunt and playing well, this would be the last thing anyone would give a green dookie about.

As a fan, you'd be happy to give them a little love as your team just beat them back into their hotel rooms to lick their wounds...only somehow...I don't have a lot of confidence in that.

So yeah, it's best you enjoy the ceremonial festivities.

It will likely be the Angel highlight of the day.

  2. Feck man. At least as a Dog fan they are entertained lately win or lose.

I'd lie if I said I wasn't jealous. Cant remember last time I was envious of them.

Maybe every 6-7 days when Fernando used to take the mound. I was entertained at that age when his eyeballs would spin back.

  3. Every time these threads come up, you never find one scenario mentioned where Scioscia should be fired from those who defend him.

After running some calculations, I predict a wormhole has an easier chance of being found in the wild than a singular instance of the item mentioned above.

Scientific clarification:  Wormhole and Scioscia's postgame comments are not to be considered one in the same.

Reddit clarification:  Further research has shown they are indeed one in the same.  Shit.

  4. He can't opt out until the end of next season.  That is too long to wait.  Not to mention you need to do something to get fans to the park.  Who the hell would want to go watch these losers?

    I've not been all year.

I don't even watch many of the games but instead listen while doing other things...this way it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time.

There was a time were I'd call in sick and pay whatever I had to just to go to a game.

  5. I was so so so so so so happy to finally have an owner spend $$$ - and I think I still am - maybe.

But I don't know what is worse right know.

Jerrah in the NFL, Cuban in the NBA, or Arte in the MLB.

I'd throw in Al Davis but he's gone.  R.I.P.

I still think Arte is better than the other two but some days, I dunno...

  6. All you need to do to understand the direction (or lack thereof) of the management and thought leadership of the Angels is to compare them to Boston.

From dumpster last year to AL-leading performance.

2012 was Boston's first losing season since 1997, their first season with 90 or more losses since 1966, and their worst season since 1965.

Make all the excuses that make your world feel good ("yeah, but they were lucky to trade with..." or "their signing of XXX luckily did better than ours..."), but as they say, it's all about the scoreboard - or in our case - scorebored.

And oh yeah, FOCK you MLB.  You had false advertising today.

I thought I heard that the Dumpster was pitching for Boston.

Seems we had the dumpster and as usual, it was on fire.

Edit:  Ok, the phonetic play on words probably doesn't work well but...I don't care :)

  7. He just had a stupid head first slide into 1B.

Even with his lack of experience, it is already to the point where you need to look for things to find wrong with him.

Many a hall of famer has done this at some point in their career.
