  1. Good series for not as they are 10 back now

Sht for some reason I thought it was only going to be 9.  I guess wishful thinking had me lose count.

    Big early hole strikes again.

  2. The Angels have their softest stretch now so they need to feed and feed hard.

Sucks being already 9 games back.

If they don't make a big chunk here, this staff won't have the power to get them past that gap unless some incredible collapses happen.  And I can't just count on Weav as that is only 1 of 5 games and his velocity still has me slightly concerned.

    Eff.

  3. I don't know how things will turn out.  I'm likely a sucker hoping certain performances can turn around while others simply can't.

So yeah, I'm going with #3.

EDIT:  Forgot to add - in talking with a friend, question came up if my choice would change if the team was guaranteed to spend the remaining resources?   Hmm, well then Pujols seems the better choice honestly but with Scioscia at the helm for the next 5, I'm not sure any rotation help would matter.

  4. Tied with the 1976 team.

The Angels' 11-21 record ties their worst start through 32 games in franchise history. The last time they had won just 11 games through the first 32 was in 1976.

Thanks, I thought someone mentioned on the air that it was now a record.

Well, could they lose 2 in a row against the worst team in the MLB and break the record?!??!

    I can't wait.  No, really.

    I can wait.

  5. Hank blew those plays on purpose. It is all part of the conspiracy to get Scioscia fired.

Pujols and Hamilton can't do it all by themselves.

    Conspiracy?

Sh*t, it's an open campaign on every sports show I listen to.   No conspiracy needed.

They say Arte listens to the fans.  Time will tell very soon, especially as butts in the seats keeps dropping.  I wonder when the last time is they sold out a game.   *wish I was fast with those stat sites*

  6. They also broke the worst start in club history at this point in the season (unless what I heard on the show was incorrect, didn't verify it).

Not bad for 20% through almost.  It takes careful planning to suck that bad.   But with such a low team salary, you can't expect much more.

I'm hoping Scioscia gets an extension because it's not his fault...in fact I have no clue why any manager every gets fired.  Ever!

Here's to hoping we make more history.

Thanks Fatty.  And Fatty #2.   Two pieces of history from two pieces of *!@

  7. "Everyone needs to eat. Sure, we've given the Astros 22% of their wins this year, but it's important for the league. It allows small market teams to keep battling.

On the other hand, the Astros feed as well and CJ was able to tie his career high in strikeouts. That doesn't happen by accident. He'll turn the page and try to break it again the next time he faces the AAAstros.

Our guys are not proud of making history tonight in having the worst start at this point in the season in franchise history, but hey we're only 20% through. And we don't have the highest salary in the MLB so the comparisons need to stop. A lot of battling left to do and they know it."

Jose Mota added "The Angels could but couldn't so when they come back again they won't can't stop again, just like almost tonight!"

    FML.

  8. Even if Vegas does give the Angels a 20% chance to make the playoffs, how depressing is it that at the start of May this is already what the team is facing.

You wait all offseason, excited for some good 'ole entertainment and already I'm wishing there were more local NBA playoff games :(

Oh well, it happens.  Just seems to happen to us a lot lately...

  9. Outside of that 3 game winning streak, Houston has lost 18 of its last 22 games.

They have just lost 6 games in a row.

The team not only can, but HAS to sweep this series.

THEY HAVE TO!!!! (last part is for all you AOL readers).
