  1. We do suck.  I was optimistic for a turn around last year.  I am not optimistic this year.  The reason, last year we had an offense struggling that you knew would come around.  This year our starting pitching was suspect going in and it is suspect now.  Our bullpen still is the worst in the majors after three years.  I just don't see how we will improve the pitching.

I don't mind if the pitching sucks (ok, of course I do - especially given our rotation just last year)...

...but where are the 9-7 games we're supposed to be winning.  Where??!!

I can't name one aspect of their play right now that I can say the manager has them prepared for.

And if we don't start with Fatty, then when exactly should a manager be let go?

  2. A man can dream.

    Amen brother.

And this man has a strong dream that this will come true.

I don't support them with $$$ and if only other can join me, this will happen within 3-5 days of noticable gate drop - although their play is already doing that well enough.

It's clear it's over.  It was clear to many it should have been over last year.  To some, the year before.

    Bye bye fatty.

You got a tremendous amount of credit and respect for something you never really earned, just happened to be at the wheel.

Your body of work since makes it clear to see.

Getting excited about free agent signings year after year is also worthless.  It seems to amount to the same pile of shit.

  3. I thought I like to wear tinfoil hats.

    You guys are funny.  Really.

Trout regressing has nothing to do with commercials, pay raises, fame, shadowpeople (ok maybe), or sloth Scioscia (one in the same?)

Trout regressing has everything to do with him...regressing.  It was expected.  By everyone.  Even 3% of the people here.

The big, worrisome question is what exactly will become his norm?

My concern right now isn't as much his offense, though it bothers me a bit.  It's the other tools that seem whack too.  It's like a different player.

A fat one (ok, eeeeeeeasy now).

  4. HOLY SHIT!

Seriously new level of epic failure.  I stopped watching last night's game because I had sht to do...

...and it was 7-2 so I figure finally we have an easy win, etc.

Been super busy all day so never read the paper, web sites, etc.   Listening to the game I hear "...blah blah they look tired after 19 innings..." and I'm thinking "WTF are they talking about?!?"

I check the box score of last night and right when I think I can't get shocked by this awful team (going back a few years of being let down), it reaches a new height.

    WOW!

    :(

  5. Watching Pujols pissed in the dugout after an AB, while in contrast watching Hamilton laugh and joke with opposing infielders after striking out or grounding out at first...I'm just dumbfounded at the reactions. One really cares and the other acts like an ass clown. Is it possible that Ranger fans were right and he just gives up on teams?

Hamilton was a complete doooosh nozzle before the Angels.

Now that he plays for the Angels, you're supposed to like him.

    A lot.

    Get on it.

  6. So much more with less applies to Willits or Spiezio, but not Erstad. Erstad was hard nosed, to be sure, but he was also very talented.

Of course.  Well, the spirit of my message is that there are certain players who play to earn a living but genuinely love playing the game.  Trout showed us that last year.

What I'd give for a losing team but with some of the players that entertain me day in and day out.  That is, actually, why I follow baseball.  It entertains me.  Winning is icing on the cake.

I'm getting neither this year nor last nor...

    No cake.

  7. Yap, I've not spent $1 on the team in almost 3 years.  In the past it would be unthinkable but no one I know cares to go to a game, including my own family.

I guess they get my support via the radio and sometimes TV, but that is it.

Give me an Ersty or Willits or hell even Spiezio - players that made me so love watching baseball because they did so much more with so much less [yeah, Spiezio didn't do that much I just liked rooting for those types].

All I think I see most of the time the last few years is a manager and players using their smartphone banking apps to check for the best interest rate% to keep moving their money around.
