This is a question related to GMs and why they make trades. Obviously they want to improve their ballclub. But it seems like guys like Dipoto like the attention that comes with always being in the headlines and doing all these little random moves like swapping minor league pitchers. Then after they make the trade they will get on MLB network and fire up that hot Stove or High Heat with Russo to talk about the trade. Does Dipoto and other GMs like the attention that comes with making a trade? Do they want to try to show everyone how smart they are?

Can we discuss this a bit. I'd like to hear from the heavy hitters and contrarians too (Straddling, notti____) Does this truly exist? Is there some magical potion because Jonny Gomes puts a whoopie cushion on someone's chair in the clubhouse? How do we know these guys exist and to what extent they really contribute? None of us walk have access to a clubhouse. Sure theres bad environments like WAS last year. But Jonny Gomes dancing around to Miley Cyrus isn't making Matt Williams manage his bullpen better. Talent trumps all. If this clubhouse guy crap exists, what it worth?

Hung Tejada out to dry and "pulled him" out of range of the neighborhood play. A better, more crisp flip and Tejada isn't set up to be bulldozed like that, and they possibly turn the DP.
