  1. No - just speaks to the end result. If he didn't fail a drug test, then that directly affects any penalties, since they are based on failing a drug test.
  2. Not so. He didn't fail a drug test - he came to the MLB to confess he had a relapse.
  3. Amazes me, the things you guys choose to bitch about. Talk about mass halucinations. That was NOT an easy throw; he was NOT out by 5 feet -- It was absolutely the right move in that situation. You guys bitch when he bunts, you bitch when they swing away. It sucks that we play our hearts out for 162 games, then get knocked out by a wild card team. But we've BEEN that wild card team - KC is loose, performing at a high level, and executing defensively. Angels are not. They might be the better team over a season, but they are not the better team over this week.
  4. Positive would be a walk and lifted for a pinch runner
  5. KC is the 2002 Angels. And we're the 2002 Yankees. How did this happen?
  6. Can't argue that the offense has been bad tonight, especially late innings here. But that KC "D" in the outfield.... coulda been a whole 'nuther ballgame.
  7. Shake it off Bruins - so far they look like the band geek on a date with the prom queen.
  8. Do you remember the 'Babooshka" give-away 6 or 7 years ago? By the sixth inning people figured out that by twisting the top & bottom halves together you could create the most annoying, fingernails-on-the-chalkboard squeaking imaginable. Get 20 or 30 thousand people doing it simultaneously and the cacophany was enough to make you want to rip your ears off.
  9. So, ya bring in Street in the 9th? He's pitched alot lately. A Lot.
  10. Brings up a question I have (and I should no better) - My understanding is that most teams put a large number of players through waivers right after the July 31 trade deadline; just to have the flexibility of trading. Wouldn't that apply here? Or does a player have to re-clear waivers after a trade is agreed to? If so, why the pointless exercise on Aug 1?
  11. Cespedes > Howie. Maybe not apples to oranges, but in the ballpark. But realistically, no way Gordon fills Howies shoes. Most GDP in one season is 12; Howie has 5 straight years beating that!
  12. Well, not the second. More like after the 15 minutes he was lying on his back clutching his knee in agony.
  13. Hmmm, that'll make it tougher.... Maybe bring back Drew Rucinski?
  14. 7.0 IP, 0 hits, 1 BB, 10 K's. What would you give to have a bullpen that can do that?
  15. I think the rats would provide a welcome distraction
  16. Deek, is that you out there??!!?? Long time!! Oh, and blah blah Angels blah blah
  17. And why did they pitch out? Perhaps some sign stealing going on?
  18. So far in three games Houston batters have struck out 43 times. They are in for a looooooong season.
