  1. Just the statistical information. Fans do not know what happens in the dugout, locker room or clubhouse. Which is really a majority of what makes a manager effective or not. Regardless, fans will be fans and have their opinions. Nobody here is saying they can't, but some folks may just not agree.
  2. I think his point is this: Chances are pretty solid that those above him in the organization have more facts, more information, more insight and more experience into Sosh's effectiveness than Joe fan does. Hence they are much better positioned to make the final decision on his fate. My guess is that Sosh will "step down" if they don't make the playoffs this year. They will buy him out and that will be the end of it.
  3. Care factor is the next grit factor. It's stupid, silly, unmeasurable and meaningless.
  4. Who's been throwing a fit at all? He answered a question asked of him. You are just looking for something to be outraged about.
  5. apathetic=not caring. How is that different from not trying?
  6. You never said which players weren't trying, as your op suggests.
  7. lol at the idea that there is an exact answer to where the "best hitter" should hit in the lineup.
  8. They didn't ask him about premarital sex. They knew they would get this response that is why they brought him on. Regardless, I still think the response I suggested would have been much better.
  9. Like I said, it's my opinion. Others who do partake of those benefits may appreciate them though.
  10. trying to diminish this story by taking the entire debate to an extreme is weak sauce.
  11. Strange, haven't seen any trojan fans posting on the UCLA thread. and couldn't Ranger fans argue the same?
  12. Bruin, Cal and whatever else fans posting on a USC thread is kind of like Ranger fans posting on aw. A couple of posters are here to talk baseball, but for the most part they post here to troll.
  13. As a Bible believing Christian I'm disappointed in some Christian's response to this. If I was asked I would respond something like this: My personal feeling on homosexuality is irrelevant to this story. It has no bearing on Mr. Collins as a player or person. I support his opportunity to pursue any way to make a living in this country, wether it be a professional basketball player or anything else. I will pray that things go well for him.
  14. You aren't aware of spring training? I think I was pretty clear on what I thought. Choose to agree or not, but don't play the I don't get it game.
  15. That's debatable. There are a lot of things that this organization does for this website. They haven't ever asked for anything in return, have never commented on some of the outrageous things posted on here and have never tried to steer the conversation on aw. That is reason enough to have at least a small amount of grace and thankfulness from us fans and members of this site. Mind you, this is my opinion. Neither AW nor anyone else has asked me to make this argument. It is just how I feel.
  16. I didn't say I felt sorry for him. I couldn't care less and I'm sure he couldn't either. I just think it makes this site look bad. Like I said, post what you will, but personal insults say you've got nothing else to offer.
  17. You may not feel that way, but many fans who went to spring training and get to listen to Arte, players and Tim Meade may. Keep with the fat jokes, they just make it seem like whoever makes them have nothing of real value to add anyways.
  18. I'm not sure what you mean by okay. My point was that Angels FO personell read this forum, at least be somewhat respectful of the man at the helm. Say his moves are horrible, say his line-ups suck, say he isn't getting through to the players anymore.
  19. One is on the Angels and one isn't. Not too hard to understand.
