My friend and I went to the draft Friday. I've never heard booing as loud as when Bettman first came to the podium. And they kept it up every single pick. Thirty times Gary Bettman approached the podium and all thirty times the crowd booed him. Bettman learned under David Stern and I think he needs to embrace the hatred. Stern's final NBA Draft was amazing because all he did was troll the crowd all night. I highly recommend going to the draft if it's ever around where any of you live. Great, fun atmosphere. The Cup was there and the NHL also had a roped off display of all of the league awards and trophies.

Amazing tribute to Captain Canada last night. Great job by the Oilers putting the 'C' on Smytty's sweater. It was also very classy of the Canucks to come back out on the ice to shake Smyth's hand. It was a... dare I say it- good day for MacT! A 2014 5th round pick and a 2015 3rd round pick for Fasth, and a 4th rounder from Minnesota in return for Bryzgalov. He's improved the goaltending by leaps and bounds over the last month and a half. Now tomorrow unfortunately Hemsky and Smyth go. I'll be rooting for whichever team Smyth goes to in the playoffs. Kurt Busch will attempt the Indy 500/Coca-Cola 600 double. As a huge IndyCar Series fan I couldn't be happier. Great exposure for the series. I'm surprised he's running for Andretti Autosport though. I know he tested for them last May, but I thought Chevrolet would require he run for a Chevy backed team. I'm glad he's able to run for Andretti.

They didn't need to change the unis. Freaking Glazer family. If they HAD to change, it should've been more subtle, maybe adding some orange to the red and pewter. The base of the jersey is awesome, I'll say that. However, the numbers and the 'Bucs' patch on the left shoulder just ruin it. Pirate ship on both shoulders or GTFO. This jersey makes me angry. They worked on this for two years and this is what they came up with? I haven't been this embarrassed since the day they signed Derrick Ward.
