Craig MacTavish's status moves to Katz' coffee bitch and anything else non-driving related that Katz needs. -Oilers sign Finnish goaltender Eetu Laurikainen. Todd Nelson does not deserve to lose his job. However, if they're going to replace him, it had better be with Dave Foley stunt double Todd McLellan. Within the next three years I may even be able to start a new Oilers thread. My God... what is this feeling? Is this... hope?

McDavid said "It will be a true honor to be able to go there" so it appears this shouldn't be a Lindros situation. He also called the Oilers an "unbelievable organization." Got that right, Connor. Oilers trade David Perron to the Penguins for a 1st round pick and Rob Klinkhammer. Every time an Oiler gets traded or fired, I feel exactly how I felt when I was a child watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer when Santa comes and takes the toys on the Island of Misfit Toys and finds them a good home.

Scrivens was fantastic last night and it seems to have carried over to tonight in Calgary through two periods, at least.

Sutter's complaints about Scrivens' stick tape in the shootout was hilarious. Good debut for Derek Roy and it's nice to win once every dozen games or so.
