  1. So if it was a guy like Jay that struck out, you guys would be crucifying him. Trout choked, plain and simple.
  2. I don't get it. A guy that got a base hit and gave the 2-4 hitters a chance to drive him in is bad, but the guy who struck out and gave nobody a chance is OK?
  3. If Fletch struck out, Trout's K would have ended the game. If Trout got on base, Fletch would have already scored.
  4. Fletch got on base for Ohtani and Trout. Trout didn't deliver. Can't put it on Fletch.
  5. If Walsh had a smaller penis, it would have been a tie game.
  6. Love how this guy gets by with a 85mph fastball.
  7. He should have been ready to swong at the 3-1 meatball though.
  8. This extra innings rule is fire when the base runner is a fatass.
  9. Do our pitchers practice fielding? Iglesias looked like a little leaguer. Like he's never executed a trap play before. Unbelievable.
  10. I read that free throw percentage in basketball, penalty goal pct In soccer has gone up as well. It might be reasonable to say that reduced distraction gives an advantage to pitchers too, as it is another set position which allows control over everything else.
  11. Vlad27Trout27 deserves a lot of credit for calling this 2 years in advance.
  12. To be honest, I always wanted him to concentrate on hitting. Every coach that has been around him since high school has said that he is much more suited for hitting. They've said he understands hitting, and that his swing is natural. No Japanese hitter has ever been able to hit bombs like that while going the other way. Pitching on the other hand, has been a struggle. His high school couldn't even get to the "Koshien" national tournament(Arguably the most popular sporting event in Japan), despite him starting every game and throwing at least 10mph faster than everyone else. He has upside for sure, and he has said he enjoys pitching more, but throwing 100mph doesn't automatically make you great. His mechanics have always been unstable, and his command is pretty average. This is just my opinion as a fan of his. I know the Angels need pitching, but I want to see how much he can do when concentrating on hitting alone.
  13. Loved the title of the thread. The Angels need to win 0.22222 games, and lose 1.185 games to achieve the equivalent of 6-14.
  14. It looked like Schwarber went around to me. In any case, very borderline. Did he get ejected after the game was over?
  15. Allen had it all the way. No drama at all.
  16. People have been talking about how brutal Chris Davis' start has been. But actually, Cozart had only 1 more hit than him, and had an OBP almost 50 points lower. That's how bad he was. Coincidentally, both broke out of their 0-for on the same day.
  17. Dipoto tried to win all these years, and failed. Now he can't even tank properly.
  18. Wouldn't be surprised if his OBP cracks .500 this season.
