I said "best chance".  He won't get as quality of prospects come winter IMO.  Mid-season is the time GM's do things they wouldn't otherwise do.

Tell us who he could have gotten , not who you want, but who he had a good chance to get.

I have to be optimistic for next year so I can can still watch games this year.

I think Scioscia's ability as a catcher plus his micromanagement style have made him a liability to developing catchers

I'm not a Scioscia hater but I do think this is true.

Dude screw that I like Conger but as a ML Ballplayer it was completely unacceptable for him to fall for that and let the ball drop. Period.

Or he thinks that the top two teams in the west are better than anything the east puts out there. That would be my guess.

I heard it and this was my take.

Im gonna catch hell for sayin this, but i really think this team ,as constructed, can win and compete. We were due for a year like this, i mean, we've been a successful org for over a decade this was bound to happen. Theres been a hex on this season from the get go. If they keep this team together for another year, i believe things will turn around. Just my opinion

The problem with this is you're looking at a bunch of what should be great players and hoping for a great team. It doesn't always work that way.

You may not like the way he runs this team, but this statement unbelievably dumb.

I'd actually prefer to have Bourjos hitting first with Trout following him. It's the same as it is now except you don't have to go through the lineup to get that AB of Bourjos in front of Trout. Bourjos is the perfect guy to hit in front of Trout because he runs like the wind, can steal bases and creates issues for the pitcher when facing Trout. The way Bourjos has been hitting, he should be getting more AB's up in the order instead of the least opportunities at the bottom.

I think Sosh is just letting PB get comfortable after being out for 5 weeks. He did this at the start of the year then moved him to the 1 spot.
