    That was my guess. As an Angel he pitched 307 innings with a 2.49 ERA Overall he pitched 387 innings with a 2.49 ERA

    He comes to the conclusion by comparing 2014 fWAR of 3.7 to projected 2015 fWAR of 0.2 . That's tied with the Nationals for largest difference of any team. My question is... how accurate are the fWAR projections?

    I dunno. Angels pen was pretty horrible two years ago. Grilli was a big reason it turned around. Street is the other. It could go to crap again just as quickly.

    Yes, and Hamilton will be gone soon enough as well. It would be good if he did something during his tenure here, though. If Upton performs and they lose him that's not really a good trade unless they win it all this year (unlikely) and if he doesn't then it is an even worse trade.

    No, it was better to get rid of Wells and pay him for nothing. He was blocking development of younger players. Hamilton is not quite there yet, but it is on the horizon.
