  1. That was my guess. As an Angel he pitched 307 innings with a 2.49 ERA Overall he pitched 387 innings with a 2.49 ERA
  2. Sounds like a HOF player to me! BTW, Pete Rose belongs. It's the one decision I don't understand at all. Should OJ give the Heisman back?
  3. Richards. He made a huge stride last year but he wasn't even close to that same pitcher the year before.
  4. A lot to expect from a rookie, a guy that was injured and didn't do too much even before then, and an aging veteran.
  5. He comes to the conclusion by comparing 2014 fWAR of 3.7 to projected 2015 fWAR of 0.2 . That's tied with the Nationals for largest difference of any team. My question is... how accurate are the fWAR projections?
  6. We were stupid to let Darren Oliver go. I hope this turns out better.
  7. I dunno. Angels pen was pretty horrible two years ago. Grilli was a big reason it turned around. Street is the other. It could go to crap again just as quickly.
  8. Yes, and Hamilton will be gone soon enough as well. It would be good if he did something during his tenure here, though. If Upton performs and they lose him that's not really a good trade unless they win it all this year (unlikely) and if he doesn't then it is an even worse trade.
  9. History says bet on the A's - unless it is in the playoffs.
  10. I think Kemp and Upton are going to work out for San Diego like Pujols and Hamilton did for us.
  11. No, it was better to get rid of Wells and pay him for nothing. He was blocking development of younger players. Hamilton is not quite there yet, but it is on the horizon.
  12. We were not better off trotting out Vernon Wells' corpse every night.
  13. If he sucks again no one will take him. Best situation is for him to bounce back and then we get rid of him.
  14. I like this idea but what if a guy gets injured? What if the coaches don't play him in certain situations to save $$$?
