    If I were Rendon I would certainly feel attacked. You don't need to air quote it like it's some outlandish claim. All we have are a few sentences he's said to reporters in response to questions about his priorities. Some of it doesn't look great, but it's a leap and certainly an attack to claim that he doesn't care to give an effort.

    I would consider it if I'm the Padres. Though I would seek better offers first. But I wouldn't do it if I were us. We have more needs than another good middle infielder. I think we'd be better served getting value out of Ward and Anderson as members of the OF and rotation than trading them away for a one year rental.
