If the Astros lose tonight, the Rangers will have nothing to play for tomorrow. They will start the playoffs on the road no matter what, so they would most likely sit most of their starters to give them time off (and avoid injury) before their game 1 of the ALDS. I'll take whatever advantage I can get going into the last game of the season.

Angels had one really terrible month. It just so happened to be the same month Trout was also terrible. This team goes by how well Mike Trout does. Take Donaldson out of the Blue Jays lineup and I'm sure they would still be winning games. Not taking anything away from the season Donaldson has had. But when it comes to MVP, there is no one more VALUABLE to his team than Mike Trout is to the Angels.

If the Angels make it to the playoffs I think Trout gets it. Why? Because the Angels wouldn't be anywhere close to the playoffs without him. And that's what makes an MVP. The Blue Jays are a very good team. And that's not all Donaldson.

Actually, he didn't play Spider-Man poorly. His Spider-Man was pretty much dead on to how Spider-Man is. The movies may have sucked but that wasn't his doing.

A two year rebuild definitely. We need to get Hamilton, Weaver, and Wilsons salaries off our payroll. I think our payroll right now is somewhere around $150. If we wait a couple years for those three payrolls to drop off, we can go into the offseason after the 2017 season around $60 Million in payroll. Bring up guys like Newcomb, Kubitza, Cowart, and Yarbrough and see what we have in them over the next two years. Let the new GM come in and maybe work some deals or try to improve the team where needed without spending a lot. At this point we will have plenty of financial flexibility and still have Trout for 3 years.

I know I'm the only Cowboys fan around here, but wow, what a huge punch to the gut we've had the last two weeks. First we lose Dez Bryant for 10-12 weeks and now we are losing Romo for possibly the same. We finally have a team that I think can make it to the Super Bowl and wow. Losing Dez was one thing ... but we absolutely can't lose Romo. You can plug and play some receivers in a lot easier than you can a QB. Here's hoping to some good news tomorrow when Romo is re-evaluated but I'm not holding my breath.

The last thing this team needs is more payroll. We need to shed some first, whether that's waiting for some contracts to expire or find a dumb team to take some on. As much as I hate wasting prime years of Mike Trout, I don't know if waiting a couple years to shed some payroll (Weaver, Wilson, and Hamilton) is necessarily a bad thing. Right now we're in luxury tax hell and have a crap team to show for it.
