  1. I vote for the person I agree with the most.
  2. That was not argumentum ad populum. I didn't say that it's "correct" for people to worry about food more then guns just because most do. I don't believe there is such a thing as "correct" here. If some people are more concerned about their diet than gun rights I don't see how they could be considered wrong. It's an opinion. Now if the argument is that my use of "most" was incorrect or unverifiable then you may have a point. But that's not argumentum ad populum. There were no logic fallacies in my post at all.
  3. I guess. I said most people view the soda issue as more relevant than the gun issue. I never said it was alright to restrict gun ownership nor did I claim that "the right to bear arms is an archaic fossil from yesteryear" was a correct statement. So yeah, when someone posts a sentence and then you quote only the last part, language can easily be misconstrued.
  4. No one stated that that statement is "correct". You took what I said and chopped the beginning off which changed it entirely. Who said people don't have the right to defend their life and property? Not me, certainly.
  5. Speaking of people who went MIA...
  6. This hardly comes as a surprise. Only the most optimistic didn't see this coming back when we signed him.
  7. I guess that just goes to show that for most people the right to eat and drink what they want is a relevant issue in their lives while the right to bear arms is an archaic fossil from yesteryear.
  8. I would like the tickets but I don't want to meet you. Could you ship them to me FedEx 1-day? I'll be at home.
  9. The article says that the baby's mother had previously been shot while carrying the baby. Not sure if that means in her womb or in her arms. Either way it's ****ed up.
  10. How has Ben Affleck not made the list yet? Great writer and director. But his acting is awful.
  11. Cool. So 91 MPH. That's 3 higher than he's at right now.
  12. If we are trying to get the Tommy Hanson of 2012 then we're doing it wrong.
  13. He sucked in 2012. So another way to phrase it would be that for most of the time he was a good pitcher he averaged 92+MPH. And now he's at 88.
  14. So looking at the info on that page it's your assessment that he didn't once average 92+MPH on his fastball?
  15. No. Averaging 88 vs averaging above 92 is not 2 MPH. Sorry.
  16. Aybar and Callaspo, yes. Aybar was good, Callaspo was bad. But your claim on Kendrick is false. He was second worst on the team against fastballs last season and hasn't performed well against fastballs since 2009. Out of 143 qualified hitters in 2012, Kendrick ranked 114th in his performance against fastballs. Over the last three years he hasn't been the amazing fastball hitter that we knew him to be in the minors and over the first part of his big league career.
  17. Not if we get second half Trumbo and 2011 Wells.
  18. It's really cool to see someone insult another poster's intelligence. Makes this place so nice.
  19. They should have found a real WWII soldier to stand on the cupcakes. This is what happens when you take shortcuts.
  20. Vargas allowed half the runs. It's not just the minor league pitchers.
  21. Because our government is required by our Constitution to uphold the rights of US citizens.
