    I think it was Reagins' failures in his last few years that caused Arte to overspend on the wrong players and put them where they are now. Missing out on Beltre I believed caused an ugly chain reaction.

    The worst for me so far and I lived and died with the 95' team. That team didn't have much expectations so riding the high for most of the season was fun and I was proud of the way they fought back in the last week just to force the one game playoff.

    And I'm talking about relieving Vargas. Relieving Coello before the double would've been good too, but not as ideal as Jerome starting the 6th.

    You're telling me Callaspo and Iannetta don't have gap power? You're also assuming they would be playing station to station to require two singles to score. Howie can't go first to third and score on a sac fly? Sac bunts are an antiquated strategy that should be use to a minimum only in certain situations. Scioscia seems to use it as often as possible.

    Nice write-up. I knew the defense up til now wasn't very good, but didn't realize it was that bad. The errors are really annoying, because a lot of them seem mental.

    This is the most unsatisfying Angels win for me ever. Barely beating an awful team with Weaver starting against a pitcher they normally dominate. Plus the sweep by the Astros still fresh in my mind, but I hope you're right.

    Just check their box scores and noticed that he's batting leadoff. Scioscia would have him batting ninth and he'd probably suck playing for the Angels.

    I've notice this for more than a year now. Howie is good at knowing the situation and at least tries to keep those balls from going into the outfield.

    I swear the next time Aybar lets a ground ball get into the outfield instead of knocking it down, thus allowing a run to score, I'm gonna lose my ***t. I don't even remember the last time he tried to in that situation.

    At the time, the consensus here in AZ was that the Dbacks didn't get much in return and fans were wondering what other teams like the Yankees were offering. Dipoto was not well liked.
