Our take:
I will also add that Ron Washington has no clue or is blind if he thinks Jo Jo Romero was in the strike zone. I mean, what game was he watching?
Lastly, you got to have your players back. I mean at the very least say it was a risky play (I mean it's called a suicide squeeze for a reason), and the pitch wasn't ideal for laying down a bunt.
On Point.
@BTH @Blarg He used the "c" word.

Be careful what you wish for.

I'm just relieved for the coaching staff that Carpino was watching Hockey tonight.

Wash going Augie Garrido right now.

The Angels are now 5-16 at home. Lol, how is that even possible?
They're also now only two games better than the White Sox overall. Might end up with the worst record in the AL soon.
Genuine question. Why do you feel they might end up with the worst record in the AL soon?

What the frack is going on with the Angels' culture?
You are on the right track Sherlock.

Hey, moron: he was saying "we" the fans have a disease because we keep watching. He wasn't referring to the culture of the team.
Stick to starting game threads. Venturing out past "cut and paste" does not reflect well on your emotional or baseball intelligence.

Because we have a disease
Toxic culture. No leaders, no mentors, no concept of "team". Just a bunch of guys who don't know each other hoping to get traded.

I can't stand Rendon but he's a better third baseman than this Tucker fellow.
What a patchwork roster!
They knew better (but didn't act) than to count on Rendon and then not acquire 3 solid back ups

The clubhouse culture? Not much.
The poor culture throughout the org? 100% on Arte.
Good stuff. The org. culture is what I am referencing. Big picture problem.

I do really blame it on Nevin.
I've posted about it on this forum before, and given how most of the Nevin conversations involve you, there's a decent chance I've posted about it in response to you before.
What % of the current Angels culture do attribute to Arte? What % to Perry?

Haha. The clubhouse culture falls on the manager. Not getting the most out of your players falls on the manager. Nevin failed at both, which is why he isn’t here anymore.
You are the KJP of the Angels Org.

It would actually be great if we lost because he was watching hockey instead of us losing due to systematic organization decay that will take years if not decades to undo
Maybe the Angels would improve their culture if he watched hockey exclusively.

So who do you place that culture blame on?
I place it on Nevin. He still had talent in August, supplemented by the trade deadline moves. Then in September, injuries struck.
The 2024 team is just not talented.
Culture is the responsibility of the owner and front office.
You don't really blame it on Nevin. (Just tryna tweek me).

It appears Arte gave Perry the off-season budget, and Perry spent most of it on the pen, which still sucks. Other than Arte selling I'm at a loss on what this team needs.
The organization/team needs direction. A complete makeover.
Guys that keep getting hurt need to be dealt (except Trout). Pitchers with a bad attitude. Buh bye.
GM. That tolerate being handcuffed by Arte should leave
Need a President of baseball operations that isn't at the stadium watching hockey in his suite. (Reinforces belief that upper mgmt doesn't care)
etc
etc
etc

they dropped from a tier 2.5 team to a tier 5 team
JUST. LIKE. THAT.
Probably a solid Tier 6 at this point. Unfortunately.

it's too bad 2023 was wasted away with a manager whose team quit on him in August.
17-38 to end the season.
You just made my point about the Angels having a culture issue which cannot be denied.
32-65 in last 97 games. Appreciate the supporting data.

Season over before mid-May? Even the pre-wild card teams in the 90s weren't this bad.
Front office created a perfect storm.

Easy now. IF Wash had his opening day roster they would be leading the West in stolen bases, and by 4-6 games.
