I dare you to watch Episode III (from 2005) with the then political climate in mind and not think that there are critiques of the Bush administration in the film. Here's a great exchange from that mildly tolerable film: Anakin: "If you're not with me, then you're my enemy." Obi-Wan responds, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." Abrams is going to make a better film than Lucas could. I have no doubt.

There is absolutley no reason to hold the relatively disasterous prequel trilogy against this film. I tried to watch Episode 1 with my daughter a few months back. It was intolerable. He can't write dialogue to save his life and the casting was awful.

Both of them inherited complete program rebuild jobs. The depths that Cal's program had sunk to in all respects by the last month of the 2012 season were considerable.
